Belief in the Angels of Allah

WHO ARE THE ANGELS OF ALLAH AND WHAT ARE THIER FUNCTIONS

Angels are beings that are not material and cannot be experiance throughte medium of our five limited senses. They were created from Light and have no free will to choose to either obey or disobey Allah, they simply carry out the Commands of Allah with no questions, they are not like humans, in that they have no desires of thier own, but only to Please Allah. There are many angels with many functions. Allah did not go into detail about them in the Quran, but we do knwo the names and functions of a few such as.

THE ANGEL GABRIEL

The Angel Gabriel is the main angel and he is the Angel of Revelation, through the Angel Gabriel, Allah revealed to His Human Messenger Moses(pbuh) the Holy Book of Revelation known as the Torah, and through Gabriel Allah also revealed to David(pbuh) the Holy Book of Psalms, and to Jesus Allah revealed through the angel Gabriel the Injeel or the Gospel, which is different from the New Testament in that it consists of the actual Words Allah revealed to Jesus and second-hand eye witness accounts of Jesus's sayings. and Finally through the Angel Gabriel Allah revealed the Quran to Muhammad(pbuh) as the His Last Revelation to Humanity.

There are angels whose functions are to protect us from evil and harm and whose functions are to record our every word and action, one on our right record al the good things we say and do and theone on the left records the bad things we say and do.

There is the Angel of Death whose function is to come and take our souls when we die.

The angels Munkir and Nakir who come to question the dead souls in thier graves as to who was their God, who was thier Human Messenger, and what was thier Religion.

There is the Angel Riswan who is the Keeper of Paradise and the Angel Malik who is the Keeper of Hell.

Even though we cannot see, hear, or touch these heavenly beings we are to beleive in thier existance in order to be muslim
