Daewar are fierce and
determined fighters. All Daewar learn how to use weapons
and all are ready to fight in defence of their
stronghold. When the calls to arms comes these Daewar
form the bulk of the Stronghold's fighting Brotherhood,
with many fighting in Warrior squads and armed with beam rifles, the Daewar's ranged weapon of choice.
Squad: The squad
consists of between six and twelve Daewar.
Weapons: Beam gun.
Options: Up to one Daewar in the squad may replace his beam
gun with one of the
following weapons: incinerator at +4 pts; grav gun at +10 pts;
plasma gun at +8 pts.
Up to one Daewar in the squad may replace his beam gun with one of the
following weapons: beam cannon at +25 pts; grav cannon at +30 pts; plasma
cannon at +20 pts; particle cannon at +20 pts.
The entire squad may be
given grav-pulse grenades at +2 pts per model.
Character: The squad may be led by a Hearthguard bought
separately from the Elites section of the Army List.
Transport Vehicle: The
entire squad may be mounted in an Termite bought separately from the Fast Attack
section of the Army List.

Berserker squads are made up from attack squads of the most
ferocious hand to hand fighters in the Stronghold. Berserkers are courageous
and fierce Daewar, accustomed to fighting in the cramped confines of
mine tunnels and attacking the enemy at close quarters.
Squad: The squad
consists of between six and twelve Daewar.
Weapons: Close
combat weapon, beam pistol and grav-pulse grenades.
Options: Any model may replace their beam pistol and close
combat weapon with two beam pistols at +2 pts (fire together with the
same effect as twin-linked beam pistols).
Up to two
models may replace their beam pistol and close combat weapon with: power
weapon and beam pistol at +10 pts; power fist and beam pistol at +15
pts; plasma pistol and close combat weapon at +4 pts; grav
gun at +10 pts; incinerator at +5 pts;
plasma gun at +8 pts.
The entire squad may be given any of the following: blind grenades at +2 pts per
model; photon flash flares at +2 pts per model; grav bombs at +4 pts per model.
Character: The squad may be led by a Hearthguard bought
separately from the Elites section of the Army List.
Transport Vehicle: The
entire squad may be mounted in an Termite bought separately from the Fast Attack
section of the Army List.
SPECIAL RULES
Berserkers: Berserkers are known for their tenacity
and courage against the most impossible odds, battling
fearlessly against even the mightiest of opponents without
thought for their own losses. Because of this Berserkers
automatically pass any morale checks whilst in close
combat.

Guild Incinerators cater for each stronghold's furnace and flame
needs, and consequently also take care of much of the
cooking details for the Stronghold. In battle however, their more
pyromaniac tendencies come to the fore! Incinerator squads
will often be found at the foremost battlefront setting fire to the
enemy at point blank range with their trademark incinerator weapons.
Squad: The squad
consists of between six and twelve Daewar.
Weapons: Beam gun.
Options: Up to four
models may replace their beam rifle with either an incinerator at +8 pts,
or twin incinerator pistols at an additional cost of +10 points. In addition,
up to one model may replace his beam rifle with a heavy incinerator at
+20 pts.
The entire squad may be
given grav-pulse grenades at +2 pts
per model.
Character: The squad may be led by a Guild Journeyman bought
separately from the Elites section of the Army List.
Transport Vehicle: The
entire squad may be mounted in an Termite bought separately from the Fast Attack
section of the Army List.
