11/05/10 - slow day; fixing some of the links.  Removed Dave Nader's batcity and DMHS1961 site and Greg Dwyer's Bike shop as they are no longer active.  This is the "fun part", not! of maintaining a web site.

01/13/03 - Check out the top hits of 1969 at the bottom of the page!

08/10/02 - Nancy Bonifacius checked in to let us know about their web site for Performance Parts and Accessories for Domestic and Foreign Cars, Trucks, and SUV's.

05/12/02 -  Updated Greg Dwyer's Bike Shop web link.  Check it out if you haven't already.

11/22/01 - Check out our class look a like of Osama. I dunno class but we need to keep a close eye on Stanley or is it Osama Ben Nodelman ;-)

Also in the Class will; Does anyone have the G2 on these?

11/24//01

- Anne Shields leaves the trophy in her locker

- Gary Shapiro leaves his "1M" solution of HO1

Explainations we have based on the class will -or- everything you ever wanted to know but was afraid to ask.

-- 4/27/01;

- RIchard Silkman leaves going down swinging?
--- 11/24/01; Silky was the starting shortstop on the baseball team. He was an outstanding SS and, most of the time, a very good hitter. About halfway through our senior season Rich suddenly and inexplicably could not even foul a pitch off. He was striking out regularly, even in practice. As you no doubt recall, back in the day, friends would needle each other, good-naturedly of course, about their problems. Raffe Yagjian, the Weintraubs (Dave and Ross), Ollie Wilson and I began making three "whooshing" sounds (the sound of a bat cutting through air) whenever we wanted to zing Silky. Luckily for us, Rich regained his batting stroke in time to help us win the Inter-High title as well as the Central Mass Championship. To this day, Rich maintains a great sense of humor.

- Karen Friedberg "kef" leaves for Tevya?
--- 6/08/01; . I went to a summer camp in southern NH for 11 years! I was a camper and then a counselor for 4 years. I would still be there if I could! It was definitley a
highlight of my life and I still maintain friendships from the early 60's with camp people! In fact, my 2 kids go there! My son will be athletic director this summer (his 11th year) and My daughter will be a counselor-in-training (her 9th summer). As you can see, this camp is addicting and has become embedded in our lives. So, in the class will, I was leaving for Tevya to work on the waterfront and teach swimming! Kind of my utopia....

- Jean Croteau leaves to plan another party?

-- 4/22/01;

- John Ramsdell leaves second gear in the parking lot?
--- 4/27/01; We have the following from John; I didn't really leave second gear in the parking lot I think it was out in Leicester somewhere, where I Broke second gear in my Hugger Orange 55 Chevy Street Machine. My friends used to kid me about it so thats where it came from. I can tell you what we did leave in the parking lot on the last day of school, and that was alot of tire rubber and smoke. The orange 55 chevy went on to become a full fledged drag car, and was raced at New England Dragway for a number of years. (ed. note; John, I remember riding in that mean machine - about 7 miles to the gallon as I recall)

- Kathleen Radesky leavers her paint-stained granny glasses?
- Fred Van Liew leaves guidance with ulcers?

-- 3/1/01;

- We left Mr. Rawding a second year contract as advisor for Xanadu & Mr. McNamara another abodeely

- Ann Marszalek left her bookeeping to Mr. Fitzmaurice (ed note; In bookeeping you open the books then close the books)

-- 2/22/01;

- Binu Chaudhuri left her hair to Shelly Witkin
--- 3/09/01; According to a Sr. Marketing Official: Binu left her hair to Shelley because Shelley would have given anything to have had straight, long, thick, gorgeous hair! It was tough being a girl with naturally curly hair in the 1960s, when fashion dictated long, straight hair. Most curly haired girls looked best with short hair but, if you
were lucky, you could force it to grow, and then straighten it with chemicals and big rollers, praying constantly for non-humid weather!

Of course, now that we are approaching middle age (smile), short hair is more flattering and all those straight-haired girls of yesteryear are now women who need perms for body and fullness! But not us curly-haired ladies! Shelley, Laura and I will never have to fuss with our hair!

- George Cocavessis leave his boston trips to llttle brother
--- 2/22/01; According to an unnamed high ranking government source we have an answer; George Cocavessis, Rick Ellbeg, Phil Bitzas, to name a few, would miss school
to go on field trips. Some of the places explored were Bensons Animal Farm, the Boston Science Center, and venues in Boston that shall remain nameless, and of course the beach in the spring. All the trips were in George's "56" or
"57" chevy. A black and yellow number with holes in the floor board. The trips were left to George's' younger brother Billy, who was a couple of years behind us. (ed note: But Billy did he leave the chevy?)
=====================================

Thoughts to consider: Mr Allard; obi oh obi est meus sub obi ; along with that tidbit of information that he told us never to forget - His math class was also like a history lesson as illustrated below;

4/22/01 reminder from Carolyn Barnard - Mr. Allard must have cost the school budget a fortune with all the chalk he threw out his Math class window. (ed note: how could we have forgotten this as many of us were likely targets)

Mathematical Factoid!

There is evidence to suggest that African Mathematics began more than 8000 years ago. A carved bone dating from between 9000 BC and 6500 BC was found at Ishango in Zaire. The markings indicate that these prehistoric people used a base-10 number system (just like we do) and were familiar with prime numbers and the operation of multiplying by 2. A series of notches on the Ishango bone appear to approximate a lunar calendar, suggesting a fairly sophisticated knowledge of astronomy.

Mystery Photo - NAME the three wayward children in this photo with the audacity of skipping school (notice the clock) as an intense discussion ensues of 1. The Highlander, 2. 2nd Period or 3. Lets sit here and discuss it more.

-- Charlie Horan guessed Melissa Dodson (blonde) and Jane Wilbanks (middle) but don't know who is on the right.  The Clock says 9 A.M. - Gee I wonder what they are planning. These wayward Girls are; Larrilee Bessel, Donna Renaldo and Paula Harrington (ed note: Paula has regretably passed away - see memoriam page). Oh and lets not forget the Photographer - Lydia Yanis. Hopefully the breakfast at the Highlander was a good one.
