ELMO WAS ADOPTED JULY 16, 2002!

Ernie, Ebony, Elmo, Emmet and Eloise were born to a feral mom in someone's garage. She kept her kittens safely tucked away, way up high in the rafters. People moved them down, afraid they would fall, but mom moved then right back up, one by one. When she felt the time was right, she brought them down herself. The people continued to feed the mom cat and her family and kids played with the kittens so they would grow to like people. Once the kittens were old enough to leave their mother, we took them in for placement. Mom cat, however, remains elusive but the homeowners promise trap, spay and release her. The kittens appear to be about 7-8 weeks old as of June 5
