Color Guard has a two fold mission. First, the
Color Guard are guards for the National and organizational colors (flags). They are tasked with safeguarding the colors during
parades and ceremonies. The second function is to present the colors in formal ceremonies, parades and elsewhere as requested
and is apporiate. The Color Guard at Trevor G. Browne High School is tasked to conduct ceremonies and parades throughout the
school year. In addition the color guard competes in various competitions through out the city, state and on National level.
The competition is fierce and must be very accurate in steps and sequence. Practices are hard work. In 2002 the Lady
Bruins won Nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida. Cause when your not practicing,
someone else is!
This year there are three teams.
This year our Lady Bruins are: Commander c/CSM Sarah Tyree, c/Cpl
Alicia Mullings, c/Cpl Cassandra Guerrero, c/SSG Pamela Morales and C/Cpl Cassandra DeLeon.
The Bruin Cubs are: Commander c/Sgt Amanda Esmeralda,
c/1Sgt Annamaria Galvan, c/2Lt Roxanna Valdez, and c/Sgt Bernadette Espinoza.
The Armed Color Guard members are: Commander c/Sgt
Jeffery Tucker, c/Sgt Robert Moore, c/Sgt Josh Garcia, and c/Sgt Jose Garcia.
Under the guidance of SFC Andreasen, one of the Color Guard teams has brought home a trophy.
The Armed Color Guard even brought home the second place trophy from Western Region Championships. Much graditude
is owed to SFC Andreasen for all the work he has done.
