The Rifle Team practices safety marksmanship, and competitive shooting as well. In JROTC classes, SFC Andreasen
teaches a course on marksmanship and safety with the Daisy 853 Powerline. During this time, cadets have the opportunity to
shoot. If they shoot well enough, cadets are giving the chance to try out for the Rifle Team where they must compete against
all other cadets who are trying to make the team. The top shooters are taken while other cadets who have been on Rifle Team
have the opportunity to shoot for a varsity place. If you make the team, we use the Daisy Avanti M88. The Rifle Team competes
against other schools in the valley and has the opportunity to shoot out of state. You can be a part of this team, but during
the course on marksmanship, you are learning with SFC/ Andreasen. Remember to pay attention closely and do your best while
shooting. Although the team is demanding, it’s a fun experience.
