I limited this years edition of the cookiefest to my best tried and true recipes with some exciting new additions that I found in three places. One yearly magazine, one specialty magazine and the third is a wonderful cookie book.

The first is Better Homes & Gardens Christmas Cookie magazine.  With scrumptious pictures and witty prose they explain both the history and baking theory of many of their recipes.

The second is from the Pillsbury Most Requested Recipe collection. The Holiday Cookies, Bars, Candies & Breads makes many wonderful suggestions not only to make for your own family, but to ship to relatives flung around the globe.

My current favorite cookie book is Pillsbury's Best Cookie Cookbook.  Such a wonderfully inventive collection goes well beyond the bake-off arena and forges all sorts of new cookie frontiers... no... really...

I am not sure why I am in the middle of a cranberry phase... but I have resigned myself to the fact that I am :-)!

I will try and update this list as the season goes on, but working 2 jobs I doubt there will be many more added this year...
