LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Would-be millionaires helped ABC hold on to its network-ratings crown for a 14th consecutive week and smoothed the way for the premiere of the new series "Wonderland." ABC's psychiatric-hospital drama followed Thursday night's installment of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" and drew an average of 13.2 million viewers, ranking it at No. 25 among programs for the week of March 27 to April 2. That's less than half the number of viewers that watched the "Millionaire" quiz show that night -- about 29 million -- but "Wonderland" still managed to boost ABC's showing in the time slot by 17 percent. The three editions of "Millionaire" ranked in the top three spots. The network also fared well with "The Audrey Hepburn Story," starring Jennifer Love Hewitt as the actress; the TV movie ranked No. 12 and won Monday night for ABC, according to Nielsen Media Research figures released Tuesday. ABC's 14-week winning streak is its longest in 21 years, the network said. The North Carolina-Florida NCAA Final Four game gave CBS its highest-rated Saturday since its Final Four coverage last year. This year's contest was watched by more than 15 million viewers, ranking No. 14. The men's basketball tournament, which saw a number of powerhouse teams eliminated early, had an overall small dip in ratings leading up to Monday night's championship game, in which Michigan State defeated Florida. NBC enjoyed success with the second outing of the Thursday-night sitcom "Daddio," which ranked No. 9, drawing 15.2 million viewers and retaining most of its lead-in audience from "Friends." For the week, ABC had an average rating of 9.3 and a 16 share, followed by CBS with an 8.3 rating and 14 share. NBC's 7.5 rating and 13 share put it third, with Fox posting a 5.6 rating, 9 share. Among the newer networks, UPN had a 2.6 rating, 4 share; WB earned a 2.1 rating, 3 share; and Pax had a 0.8 rating and 1 share. NBC's "Nightly News" had a slight lead in viewers, drawing 10.1 million compared to 9.95 million for ABC's "World News Tonight," while the two broadcasts had a matching 7.4 rating and 16 share. The "CBS Evening News" had 8.4 million viewers, with a 6.3 rating and 13 share. A rating point represents 1,008,000 households, or 1 percent of the nation's estimated 100.8 million TV homes. The share is the percentage of in-use televisions tuned to a given show. Here are the prime-time ratings as compiled by Nielsen Media Research for March 27-April 2: 1.
