Episode I: The Phantom Menace
The small, peaceful planet of Naboo is blockaded by the greedy Trade Federation. Two Jedi Knights are sent to mediate the conflict, but the Trade Federation are ordered by a Sith Lord called Darth Sidious to kill the Jedi. Meanwhile, the blockade escalates into a full scale invasion and Queen Amidala is forced to flee the planet.
With the Queen's ship badly damaged, they are forced to land on Tatooine where they discover a gifted boy named Anakin Skywalker, who helps the Jedi and the Queen by winning an illegal podrace. With the parts to fix the ship restored, they head to Coruscant so the Queen can negotiate terms with the Galactic Senate, and Supreme Chancellor Valorum. Valorum is soon voted out of office and replaced with the Naboo Senator, Palpatine. Meanwhile, the Jedi Council denies Anakin the right to train as a Jedi Padawan because he is too old.
The Queen returns to Naboo to free her people with the help of Anakin, the Jedi and the Gungan people. The piece ends with Anakin destroying the Trade Federation Ship and the council sees his potential and allows him to train.
The first chapter in the Star Wars Saga is about manipulation, about how everyone is a pawn and nothing is what it seems, it's about a beginning for a boy, and the ending for a Jedi Master.
