This is a portrayal of human life from the vantage point of Screwtape, a highly placed assistant to "Satan." C. S. Lewis gives us the correspondence of the worldly-wise old devil Screwtape. His letters to Wormwood, a demon in training gives us a workaday portrayal of insightful demons learning to use the human psyche to undue the human race.
