AFTER A TOTAL REVAMP AND A BUNCH OF COLORFULL WORDS FROM THE HAMMER AND THE WOOD, EVERYTHING WILL HAVE ITS OUTLINE SO I CAN TELL WHAT TO PULL AND WHAT NOT TO! LOL

Ok guys and gals, I failed in part this year! lol  I planted when I felt it was getting warmer and low and behold it plummetted and snowed.  My seeds seemed to freeze because the only thing that came up were the radishes. The ones you will see in the front garden are not going to amount to much because they are way to cramped. But they are pretty! lol

The front garden has been redone. The radish are from seed but these are buttercrunch lettuce and are starts.

pict4339.jpg

These are two of the three kinds of radish planted from seed but as you can see they are way to close and will not amount to anything, but they are pretty! lol

Thai Peppers!   This is an experiment to see if they will grow outside.  They have been there two days now and seem fine but a close eye is being kept!  First sign of weeping and indoors they go.  I gotta see Waynes face when he bites one of those! lol

pict4341.jpg

These are my sedum.  First of please let me apologise for the blurry pic. Camera wants to focus on the fence! lol If you saw last years garden you probably saw these in pots. I got a cool idea from gardening with Cisco on the Seattle TV station.  They are now transplanted into work boots. Seem to be doing fine.  I thought the boots walking up the stairs would look cool!  Feel free to let me know what ya think! lol

This is our little maple baby "TANA"  She was named after the vessell she used to adorn the bow of.  When she was rescued and given to me she was no more than a stick in the dirt. I babied her throughout winter and summer giving her a chance to get used to outside.  She was planted mid summer and promptly took hold of the earth around her. Thank goodness she did too because the pup seemed to think the stick in the ground was for him but Tana won! lol  Behind her you can see the stairs with the Sedum and the Brussell sprouts too!

Now comes the imagination part!!!!

Since we have little area with soil we have decided to create another experiment.  This is a collection of homemade garden boxes placed on top of a 9 1/2 foot tall cargo unit measuring 8 fppt wode amd 40 foot long.  I am having trouble figureing out what to plant in enough boxes to fill the area! lol What you will see only covers about 1/3 of its surface.

A little closer??

pict4333.jpg

You can barely see it.  Come closer!!  Come on, closer!!

pict4334.jpg

See the little green things in the corners of that bin?? lol    Garlic!!

pict4354.jpg

OK  We are standing on top now. Open your eyes!! lol

pict4352.jpg

Notice the green things in the corners??  Thats what you were trying to see from the shot before we came on top.  Those are garlic.  There are also broccolli and collard greens in that same box. Nothing showing yet but we shall see. lol Like I said it is all always an experiment here! lol

pict4353.jpg

Dang radish are hardy! lol  Like I said before the radish are doing well! lol  The other side of the box is spose to be carrot. But then again, as usual, we shall see! lol  They did well in the greenhouse but outside is totally different.

pict4349.jpg

CORN CORN CORN!!  I GOT CORN GROWING!! lol  This is one of the biggest experiments. May not have enough room for the roots but it at least came up to say hello!! lol

pict4347.jpg

This is a shot with the newest garden box placed. Have not had the energy to do the fill yet and hopefully by the time I do I will figure out what to plant in it! lol I am running out of things to plant!

pict4355.jpg

Took more pics from up top.  This is what the front garden looks like from up there.

Pic taken from same place but thought I would throw in what the dogs look like from up here!  Just incase you have not visited the pet page. They both weigh between 80 and 100 pounds. They look like little puppies from up here! lol

The spinach box outside the kitchen door.

pict4357.jpg

The rain was coming off the roof into the box and flooding it.  Old windows from many things help a lot!  Give more light, heat, and diminish water! lol

pict4358.jpg

Yes I saw my shadow would be in the pic. lol Just thought it would be kinda cool. Hey, it's my page! lol

pict4359.jpg

Ok Ok I will show ya the spinach! lol  Yes, this to was a failure the first time so starts are what you are seeing!  But they seem to like my idea of the window! lol So far at least!

Just for the heck of it!!!  Our new cruise ship this year is Radiance of the Seas and she was moored right out in the bay this morning when I went up to take the pics. So I thought I would let ya see what they look like from up there! lol

pict4356.jpg

Don't forget to keep coming back to see what was a success and what was a failure! lol  Like I have said many time....It is all just an experiment!!
