Egg-citing KIIDS Labs!

Kids Involved In Doing Science

2. Test a Ball

PROBLEM: What can your ball do?

PREDICT: What do you think will happen?

TEST AND OBSERVE: Follow these steps and write down your observations.

1. Do a bounce test. How high can your ball bounce?

2. Do a stretch test. Pull on your ball with both hands to see how far it will stretch?

3. Do a strength test. Roll the plastic and stretch it across two chairs. Have someone hold each

end. See how many paper clips you can hang from the strand without breaking it.

CHALLENGE: Plastic can be molded into many shapes. Create a new shape for this ball of plastic?

CONCLUSION: What did you learn? You will write a conclusion statement in the classroom.
