Antikytheran Computer
In the early 1900's, between Crete and Kythera, in the Agean sea, off the coast
of Greece, a suba diver was exploring a small island called Antikythera, when he came upon a ship that had sank.
This ship and its continents dated back to 64 B.C.(calibrated date to my knowledge)
On this ship were statues, amphorae, and a bronze device encased in calcium. As
cleaning exposed more gears and inscriptions, scholars affirmed that the device was a navigational tool, an astrolabe, used
to determine the altitude of the sun and other celestial bodies.
This device was the first find of an acient computer.
