ABORTION
Constitutional Guarantee - And It's Under Assault

Abortion. When the Constitutional Convention finished its job in the fall of 1997, it listed abortion as a Constitutional guarantee for all women - if they wanted it. The Conservatives have even agreed not to pursue a repeal of that provision as part of the standard party-line, which is a major concession on the Right to the Left's accomplishments.

Yet, a debate is building within Cyberia about abortion. And some, such as Lucas Engelhardt and Adam Graham, are proposing a repeal of that provision.

In fact, Adam Graham has made abortion a defining issue in the presidential campaign, and has drawn support from Thacker because of it.

Why is it that abortion, a non-issue for Cyberia, has become an issue? It may be that the Right's latest surge in support has given it renewed strength and confidence in attacking Cyberia's most precious rights and priveleges.

If this is true, the Right, supposed the parties for liberty, are clearly not. They are the parties of big government, wanting to make sure you aren't doing anything that may offend them if they considered doing it themselves.

This should serve as a warning: try to undermine the right to privacy, and suffer peril at the ballot box.
