WORLD NEWS UPDATE
Skinner Layne returns; Germany and Australia vote; Cyberia makes the news; Clinton Impeachment?

The world has gotten all the more interesting. In this article, we will summarize some smaller stories in Cyberia, as well as news abroad.

Skinner Layne returns. Skinner Layne sparked more controversy than usual when he, or his impostor (we don't know which) posted on our forum in September. He tried asking for citizenship, but we sharply rejected the request based on his crimes against humanity and the country. He then insisted that he had never created Cyberland, which was an outright lie. Finally, he gave in and said that he was disbanding the tyranny known as Cyberland. Instead, he is forming an even less democratic country known as Vildaria.

Cyberia makes the news. For the second time in over a year, a journalist from a newspaper outside of the United States has taken the time to discover Cyberia and choose to write an article about it. The first time was in Australia, know it is from France. We were happy for the news coverage, but couldn't find the article on their website after they posted it. Oh, well. At least were floating in the news.

Germany votes. Germany chose to oust Hermut Kohl as Chancellor of Germany and select Shoender, of the Social Democratic Party. This throws the Christian Democrats, and Hermut Kohl, out of office for the first time since 1982. Now, Germany joins France, Great Britian, and Italy under center-left governments.

Australia votes. Despite the recent inroads world-wide of center-left parties, Australia voted this week to re-elect Prime Minister Howard. However, his outstanding 44-seat landslide majority in 1996 was shaved down to an expected 8-seat majority. Notably, the extreme right under the One Nation Party garnered 8% of the vote, but no seats. Meanwhile, the liberal Australian Democrats are expected to win as many as 5 new seats in the Senate.

Clinton Impeachment? United States President Bill Clinton is now being prepared for impeachment hearings into whether hiding consexual sex warrants losing his place as the most powerful man in the free world. Yet, the evidence the Republican witch hunt is using was illegally solicited from Starr, who had no business collecting the information, not to mention the evidence was illegally obtained by Linda Tripp. Illgeal evidence is not submittable in court, so why should we base an impeachment on it?

And that is what is happening in the world, and Cyberia, Today.
