STATEMENT - WHAT WE
STAND FOR |
What is the purpose
of government? It is not about elections or making wars or creating an
economy. The basis of every government is to do one thing, to protect the
natural rights of everyone under that government. Sadly, in the realms
of Diablo II, there are the strong and the weak, and often, the strong
take advantage of the weak. The purpose of government is to protect the
weak and provide other oppurtunities for the strong. This is the purpose
of the Empire and the reasoning behind this Imperial Order. We will help
provide an environment of order and justice for all those that choose to
pledge allegiance to our banner.
Often, people
ask about our stance on the subject of "player killing." The answer is
a simple one. We care not for any event or events that have no bearing
on the guild. It is only when a party violates order within or upon the
Empire that action is taken. We fight wars only for self preservation or
in order to back an ally with an honorable cause. We stand for ourselves
and perhaps our allies. We are neither good nor evil until persuaded to
choose.
The Empire
is structured around order. Every person has their place and duty. In the
eyes of the Senate, everyone is equal. Equality, however, does not exist,
and never will. Three principles outline the Empire's place among Battle.net's
guilds. Nationalism for the people's will to stand behind and strengthen
the Imperium. Militarism for the Empire's self preservation. Imperialism
for the eternal safty of the imperial cause. If these principles are followed
and honored, the guild will become great. It will be the judge of Battle.net,
it will tame Battle.net. |
