Please congregate
in the chatroom located in the "Archives" section of the Imperial Order's
mother site located at https://members.tripod.com/~imperial_order/chat.html
if you need to communicate with other citizens. If only the Realms are
down, just use an open character.
Centurions are
the fathers of their units. As fathers, they are held to many responsibilities.
Only the strong, intelligent, and honorable may ever take the title of
centurion and keep it.
Administrator:
Reports may be called on by either the Senate, the emperor, legates, or
the cohort commander. These reports may require a knowledge of the century.
It is the duty of the centurion to compile the information asked for the
report. The centurion must also keep all profiles of every single legionary
in the century and update it as frequently as needed. It is the centurion's
duty to also award any medals when they are deserved to themselves and
their troops.
Quaestor:
The centurion is responsible for distributing any payment made from the
Imperial Government to the century. He should take no more than his commissioned
pay and give no less gold to his legionnaires than is specified by the
Senate and emperor.
Recruiter:
In order for a century to be of some fighting value, it must have soldiers.
The job of the centurion is to find these recruits and sign them up. They
must also keep the recruitment documents of all their legionaries.
Resigner:
When a centurion resigns, he must choose the next centurion of his unit
from among his legionaries or optio. The next centurion does not have to
be the optio, the only requirement is choosing someone capable of being
a good soldier, administrator, and "father." Of course, this next centurion
must still take the Imperial Leadership Test and pass. If the centurion
refuses to choose a replacement, the cohort commander will pick.
Trainer:
As the characters in Diablo II advance in levels, they become stronger,
smarter, more agile, and more... "magical." It is the job of the centurion
to make each legionary as high in levels as possible so that whenever battle
should begin, the Empire will reign supreme.
Warrior:
Above all else, the centurion is a fighter and must do so with his troops
when circumstances call for it.
Webmaster:
It is impossible, even for the emperor, to maintain every page in this
account: [~imperial_order] on a regular basis. To maintain individual century
sites and to gather reports and information to update each one would be
very difficult. Thus, centuries must raise their own websites which will
then be linked here, mutually. They must do it, or find someone in their
unit that will do it. If the Centurion does not know how to make a website,
the Emperor is free to give VERY EASY to understand lessons. The website
must look like the Imperial Scheme, like the page you are reading right
now. The page should include the levels of the legionaries, their ICQ,
e-mail, name, and class. Click here
for the webpage template kit, you need to have Netscape Communicator.
In order to prevent
centuries being as large as cohorts or even legions, and preventing a strain
on the centurion, the manpower limit of each Century cannot exceed eight
*legionnaires. That means, including the centurion, there can be no more
than eight members in each century. Conversely, a century cannot exist
without one legionary, namely the centurion.
*All military
personnel are in actuality, Legionaries, including Legates, Cohort Commanders,
Centurions, and Optios.
Remain calm, there
is an enemy guild member who has taken control of the chatroom. Do not
attempt to curse him from the gavel, do not attempt to negotiate. Relocate
to Diablo II Retail-USA 20 and continue with your business. If Diablo II
Retail-USA 20 is full, go to Diablo II Retail-USA 21. Should Diablo II
Retail-USA 21 be full go to Diablo II Retail-USA 22 and so on. IOD agents
should be trying to retake the stolen chatroom.
COHORT
COMMANDERS,
THEIR ROLES |
The cohort commander
is the top authority figure of the cohort. Cohort commanders, like their
superiors, the legates, hold an immense amount of control of manpower.
However, it is because of the structure of the Imperial Army that they
cannot directly command every person under their leadership. But their
jobs are just as important as the next man.
Administrator:
The cohort commander has several administrative duties. A major duty is
that of reporting their cohort's battle status when asked by the legate.
The cohort commander is also the person who keeps all offical cohort documents
as backup for centurions. They must store recruit enlistment papers, promotion
events, promotion recommendations, demotion events, notes on century welfare,
etc.... The main job of the cohort commander however, if making sure that
the other centurions are doing their jobs.
Entourage:
The group of people that surround the cohort commander are mainly the centurions.
If the cohort commander wishes help with his duties, then he may hire up
to two other persons to do so.
Recruiter:
If the commander's cohort is empty, he or she cannot rely on recruits to
sign up. Chances are that any new recruits will automatically be assigned
to centuries or cohorts that recruited them. Hence, to ensure that one
does not lose one's rank or honor, one must enter the game.
Quaestor:
The cohort commander recieves his pay and additional wages for the rest
of his cohort from the legate. His duty is to take no more than his commissioned
pay and distribute the reminder accordingly among the centuries. Each centurion
should know how much gold is needed to pay their century.
Resigner:
When a cohort commander resigns, he must choose the next commander from
his entourage. The only requirement is choosing someone capable of being
a good administrator. Of course, this next commander must still take the
Imperial Leadership Test and pass. If the cohort commander refuses to choose
a replacement, the legate will pick.
In this case,
we are severely screwed. Communications should be carried out through e-mail,
ICQ, AOL Instant Messenger, MSN Messenger, Satellite websites, guild websites,
and any thing else that is available to you. The Imperial Office of Defense
will have its hands full trying to regain our communications.
Guildhouses may
become a reality with a new patch, nothing is for sure yet.
The Legate is
the ultimate authority of the legion. The legate holds almost total command
but due to the structure of the military, his command can only extend to
a certain depth.
Administrator:
The Legate's main purpose is that of an administrator. Whenever a battle
readiness report is required by the Senate or Emperor, the legate must
make it known to the cohort commanders and wait for the cohort commanders
to comply. The Legate must then summarize any important situations within
the entire legion and pass it on to the Senate or Emperor, whatever the
case may be.
Entourage:
Sometimes, legates need body guards or help to aid him with his duties.
These persons are not paid by the government and so the Legate needs to
use his own pay to hire any help he needs. Cohort commanders are automatically
among the legate's entourage and are paid by the Empire. Entourages are
limited to a total of 15 persons; one legate, ten cohort commanders, and
four others.
Praetor:
During times of martial law, the legates are the ruling body as all power
lies within the military and the Emperor. They judge those that have committed
crimes and execute their punishments either with other officers or by themselves.
Quaestor:
The Legate recieves his pay and additional wages for the rest of his legion
from the Imperial Government. His duty is to take no more than his commissioned
pay and distribute the reminder accordingly among the cohorts. Each cohort
commander should know how much gold is needed to pay their cohort.
Resigner:
When a Legate resigns, he must choose the next Legate from his entourage.
The only requirement is choosing someone capable of being a good administrator.
Of course, this next legate must still take the Imperial Leadership Test
and pass. If the legate refuses to choose a replacement, the Emperor will
pick.
Martial Law is
where all personal rights are abolished and the laws are followed strictly
and enforced not by the Senate but by the Emperor and the Military. All
crimes committed during Martial Law will be dealt with swiftly and harshly.
The Emperor cannot declare Martial Law without the consent of the Senate
and the Senate cannot declare Martial Law without the approval of the Emperor.
The Senate cannot approve of Martial Law during peace time or time of peace.
The Imperial Order
will be based in the realm of USWest. Until further instructed, all citizens
must create their new accounts in USWest. Go to Uniforms
to see more.
See "Uniforms."
All imperial military
personnel must create a new Battle.net account with the characters "[IO]"
before your name. Then, you will create a character inside that account
with one CLOSED character for Diablo II's Battle.net. The name of this
character must be the name of the account, but instead of the "[IO]"
you type "IO-" Therefore, the emperor creates
a Battle.net account with the name "[IO]Clemency." He names the character
inside it as "IO-Clemency" or as close as he can get it.
Imperial citizenery
do not have to create a new account or make a new character within an existing
account.
Example: [IO]Clemency,
[IO]Any_Name_You_Want. Notice that it is [IO],
not
(IO) or {IO}.
Should the main
webpage's internet webpage account on Tripod be breached by malcontents,
the satellite sites operated by guildmasters and military personal should
still be functioning. If you do find the website, it may either be the
account's plain index or you may find that it has been altered in a way
which otherwise it would not be. If you find the website in this condition,
contact other persons with Imperial Citizenship and confirm the problem.
If they concur with your findings please wait 36 hours before sharing the
news. If this is so, please disregard all information on the webpage as
the webmaster is unable to edit its contents which may be offensive towards
you. A new main site will be created within 48 hours of the take-over.
Officers and officials should send electronic mail messages to all persons
under their jurisdiction. Please continue to congregate in the Empire's
guildhouse or Chatroom on Battle.net in Diablo II. The IOD will attempt
in reclaiming the old address and notices of their success will be sent
accordingly. |
