Ash's first Pokémon was Pikachu, the electric type Pokémon. With him he had many great adventures and eventually teamed up with Brock and Misty. Ash has a lot to learn about being the greatest Pokémon master there was, for sometimes he thinks a little too overboard and thinks he's the best. But Ash has a good heart and forms a bond with each of his Pokémon that makes any Pokémon trainer wonder if they truly care about their Pokémon. Pikachu is Ash's best friend, without a doubt. But if he had a best friend that was a human it would be Misty. At first, Ash is set on giving Misty the bike he destroyed, but that leaves his mind when they build a strong relationship where we believe is more then just friends.

Misty originally was one of the 4 Sensational Sisters, yet ran away for who knows why. Her sisters then took over the gym and called it the 3 Sensational Sisters knowing Misty wouldn't come back for good, that is. She meets up with Ash and decides to follow him until he repays her for the bike he wrecked. But Misty pushes that aside and goes along with Ash because of her true feelings for him. She is very stubborn, much like Ash, but is very sweet and caring. Especially for Ash as seen in a number of episodes.

Brock was first introduced in the show when Ash wanted to beat Pewter City's Pokémon gym leader. It just so happened to be Brock. But Brock eventually left because he didn't enjoy having his Pokémon battle. He enjoyed in the pleasure of raising pokémon. He couldn't leave at first due to the fact he had his brothers and sisters to take care of after his good-for-nothing father left and the mom died. But in the same episode, his father returns, letting him fulfill his destiny of becoming the greatest Pokémon breeder.
It shows by how he treats his Pokémon and that he even makes them his own food. He's considered a master chef and it shows! Brock sometimes is the voice of reason in the show when Misty and Ash fight. But Brock can be easily distracted by attractive women. He'll always want to go on dates with them and says the most ridiculous things. Hmm...maybe its a Kuno conspiracy! Never mind.
