The 4-1/2'' and 6-1/2'' Circular Girders, as well as the complementary 5'' and 7'' Flat Rings [see below] have been recently introduced to extend the series based on suggestions received from locomotive builders. The latter, in particular, is a very suitable size as this equates with most British [and Commonwealth] express locomotive driving wheels at 1:12 scale.

The full range of Circular Girders used with other flat and flanged circular parts allows a great variety of models to be built to scale as never before!

The Channel Segments 119 are of the un-issued Mk II design as shown in the 1928/4-7 Manual of Instructions. The two lugs are parallel to each other, i.e. at 180º instead of 90º. The outer edge and the flat rim are free of perforations. The pattern of holes on the inside edge permit the fixing of 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, and 24 spokes. The spokes may be Strips, Standard/Large Axles, or Sleeve Pieces!

Built up into a ring, the flat level rim creates an obstruction-free roller path, so that there is no need to resort to the poor engineering practice of running the rollers on the thin sword-edge!
