American Oceans Campaign Hosts 'Sting Brand New Day World Tour' Benefit

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- American Oceans Campaign (AOC) today hosted a special reception prior to Sting's concert in Los Angeles. Sting performed at the Greek Theatre as part of his Brand New Day World Tour.

Sting provided AOC with the opportunity to purchase a block of preferred seats for this performance. Friends of the oceans and patrons of AOC lent their support to the organization by purchasing ticket packages for the exciting show. Prior to the concert, AOC supporters gathered for a VIP reception hosted by AOC Founding President Ted Danson and his wife, film star Mary Steenburgen. Refreshments were graciously donated by Absolut Mandrin, Budweiser, Evian, Piper-Heidsieck Champagne, Remy Red, and Santa Cristina and Campogrande wines by Antinori.

``American Oceans Campaign is blessed with numerous supporters who are willing to act to improve the marine environment for this and future generations,'' said Mr. Danson. ``We thank Sting for his generosity to AOC and his deep commitment to restoring Planet Earth.''

Proceeds from this event will support AOC's efforts to ensure our nation's beach waters are healthy, and to raise awareness about the importance of protecting marine habitats.
