Make it yourself Soaps
soaps.jpg (3590 bytes)

What you'll need:
1.  1 lb. of Life of the Party clear glycerin soap
2.  2-3 packages of Life of the Party soap curls
3.  1 bottle of fragrance
4.  Soap mold
5.  Microwave Oven
6.  Microwave-safe measuring cup
7.  Kitchen knife
8.  Plastic wrap
Directions:
An easy gift and a fun project, it only takes a few simple steps to make your own soap. Note: one pound of glycerin soap should yield about nine slices.

Cut about 16 one-inch chunks of clear soap along scored lines.
Place the soap in a microwaveable measuring cup or double boiler.
Heat it in the microwave for about a minute. Stir gently. Then heat it in 10-second intervals until the soap is completely melted. Be sure not to over-heat. Be careful – melted soap is very hot!
Add a few drops of desired fragrance. You may also choose, at this time, to add some soap glitter.
Pour a small amount (just enough to cover the bottom of the mold) of melted soap slowly into the loaf mold.
Drop in multi-colored soap curls.
Pour remainder of soap slowly into the mold until full.
Let cool completely, about 45-60 minutes. To release from mold, apply constant and even pressure with your thumbs.
Slice the loaf into 3/4-inch wide sections. Wrap each slice in clear plastic wrap to preserve its beauty
