Enter Formulas By Pointing

Entering formulas by pointing helps to avoid errors when entering cell references in your formulas. Instead of entering the cell reference by typing, you could click on a single cell or a range of cells with your mouse, and Excel would automatically insert those cell references into your formula.

Steps:
1) In the cell you want to enter your formula put in the = and the function.
2) Then click on the first cell and drag to the last cell you want in your formula.
Example: Below the sum function is used to add cells A1 to A4 together. I clicked and held down the left mouse button on A1 and dragged it down the column to A4. Excel automatically inserted "A1:A4" which is the cell references for the range of cells starting at cell A1 and ending at cell A4.
