Change Column Width

A columns width affects the content contained inside each cell. When a column is not wide enough for the cells content, the numbers/words are not shown in its entirety. If a number is too long and the width is not wide enough, then the numbers are shown in scientific notation. If a word is too long, then the word is shown in full until the adjacent cell contains text or numbers. When that is the case, then the words are shortened until the columns are resized to fit its cells content.

Steps:
These are steps to resize column B. Same steps could be applied for any column.
1) Put your cursor over the right boundary for column B. (Always use a columns right boundary to resize, see picture above).
2) The cursor will now change to a double arrow pointing in opposite directions.
3) Click and drag to resize to the appropriate size needed to fit your cell's content.

Shortcut:
If you double click on the boundary, it will automatically resize the column to perfectly fit the cell with the longest data. This is useful so you do not have to play around with each column's size.
