Selecting Cell Ranges By
Highlighting
In excel you could select a number of cells together
at the same time. This is useful when you want to edit a block of data.
Steps:
1) Click and hold down the left button on your mouse on the first cell
of the block you want to highlight.
2) Drag the mouse until the last cell of the block.
Below is a picture of a highlighted block. The pointer was placed on
cell A1 and you would hold down the left button of your mouse and drag
to cell D5.

Shortcut:
- A fast way of highlighting a cell range, is to click on the
starting cell of your block, then hold down shift and click on the last
cell of your block.
- A fast way of highlighting the whole spreadsheet would be to click on
the box above row one and before column A. (see picture below).
