Creating Headers and Footers

Many people need information on a page such as their names, the date, classroom etc. This information could be inserted into the page's header. Also, many need the page number, file name, or the total number of pages on each page, and this could be inserted into the footer. This would make a more informative printout.
Note:
headers are on the top of the page, and the footers are on the bottom of the page.

Steps:
1) Click on "File" on the menu toolbar, then click on "Page Setup".
2) A dialog box such as the following will come up, and you should click on the "Header/Footer" tab on the top.

3) If you want to insert a header, you would click on custom header and a new dialog box will appear. (The same steps are used to making a footer.)

4) You could insert text into any of the three sections. If put in the left section, then it will appear on the top left hand side of the header. If put in the center section then it will appear in the center of the header. If put in the right section, then the data will appear on the top right hand side of the header. (Same steps apply to inserting a footer).
