In later years I managed personal owned Class "C" motor carrier which catered to "hot-shot" deliveries, AT&T message routesand Bus-&-Air shipments to the airlines in Atlanta .. and scheduled full truck loads from specialized customers. This was a one lady office operation and guess who performed all the work which had to be done..? Now I keep house, and cook some chicken & dumplings for Quent-Ga when he get's honey-do's done on time.

My Father was a member of the Class of 1921 and served in the Navy in 1918. My class of 1945 was the wartime class that never had its Senior year on Campus. We were called to active duty in the Army in March 1943 and sent to Ft. Sill, Oklahoma for basic training in Field Artillery, 105 mm Howitzer Batteries for 17 weeks. After a delay, we were sent to Officer Candidate School at Fort Knox, Ky in Armor and Tanks. After 17 weeks, we graduated as 2nd Lt. and served various training bases as instructors. After discharge, I finished my undergraduate work in January 1948, married Virginia Watts of Bryan Texas, and began my career in Public Accounting. AggieG...(Formerly Skeets^)
Real Name: Glenna
Retired: Editor of books and research proposals
Location: College Station, Tx. (Aggieland)
Family: 2 sons, one daughter-in-law and 3 grandsons
Biography: Real Name: Glenna (Maiden Name - Fourman) Retired: In my working years I edited books and my pride and joy was: "The Brazos County History Book, Rich Past, Bright Future." (This book may be found in most large libraries all over the country. -- And it does make interesting reading for history buffs!) At A&M I edited research proposals for professors seeking research dollars from State, Federal and independent sources. The research going on at Texas A&M was varied and very interesting. One project involved the fire ants and developing an antidote to its sting -- ran out of money. However, Sen Gramm is now lighting a fire under Congress to fund this project again. They were using humans in this study -- a very touchy thing. My favorite project was the colony of monkeys that was established. These monkeys were to be sold and used in research. Believe me, when used for research, they got better care than we do in the hospital!! The adult was only about 8" tall and her babies were just 3 to 4 inches long. I have an adorable picture of them that I will scan and send to anyone interested. They sure were cuties! Hobbies or Interests: I love to play golf (so who didn't know that), dance and travel -- one or preferably a situation where I can combine all of them. I enjoy a good game of bridge (or any other card game,) and while not bowling at present, I am a certified coach - 3 times over - and may teach special athletes, junior high, high school and adult classes. And then of course, I love my computer which I still have worlds to learn about and may have to go bigger and better and start all over again! In my spare time I do other volunteer work. My next BIG project is to write a bibliography of my father-in-law, Harry T. Brundidge, who was a crime reporter during the Capone days - in the 20s and 30s, and then he was with the UPI and API during both theaters of W.W. II, and in the middle of every exciting happening -- Have all the material, just have to get started!! Will be interesting if and when I ever get it finished and published. Would make a good TV series!

Occupation: Retired, Commercial Artist 15 years, H/S Art Teacher 30 years
Military: Fighter Piot - Asiatic Pacific Theatre
Interests:Sculpture, Pottery, Pen and Ink and Watercolors
Pets:Two female Schnausers named Gabby and Nina
Bio Information: When WWII began I enlisted in the (then) Army Air Corps as a cadet pilot and was called to active duty in 1943. Completed flight training Jan 1944 and was assigned as replacement in 46th Fighter Squadron just returning from Combat in the South Pacific. Trained in P-39 Aircobra and progressed into the P-38 Lightning. Squadron was given the choice of re-training in the P-51 mustang and going back into combat or returning stateside. We flew the P-38's to Saipan, via Johnston Island, Kwadjalein, Eniwetok, and Guam and left them for Squadrons assigned there. After only 10 hours training we found ourselves on Tinian waiting to fly to Iwo Jima when the island was secured. We flew to Iwo Jima and landed downwind because the Japanese still held the North end of the strip. We lost 28 pilots in a surprise Banzai attack and made our first VLR (very long range) mission to the homeland of Japan 1660 NM plus combat (about 8-1/2 hours). Flew escort to the B-29's destroying many top line Japanese Fighters. When the Japanese refused to engage in combat we flew strafing missions to enemy airfields and targets of opportunity. After the war I attended Art College and became a Commercial Artist doing conceptural paintings of proposed aircraft and space vehicles. I attended Graduate school and obtained a Teaching Certificate and taught H/S art for 30 years in Oroville, California. We purchased 2-1/2 acres of prime property on Whidbey island in Washington State. We had it "parked out" and all the utilities put underground and a 30 x 35 ft studio was erected. We plan to sell here and purchase a manufactured home or a modular home and move there to involve ouselves in Pottery and sculpture work.
