"John Dewey & Cody's Ghost"

This client wanted to have the effect of being in the hunt field; I created an
impressionistic background so the other rider's identity wouldn't be distracting.

John Dewey wrote sixteen years after receiving his painting...
"Libby: I have just been admiring your painting of Cody
and me and the thought occurred to me how much the background
looks like a painting by Monet or Cezanne or VanGogh
from the impressionist era. Since having been to France
several times in the last ten years I have become extremely
interested in that era and the paintings of Monet and have visited his
gardens and home several times. Our travels have taken us to all the areas
of France where these artists lived and worked. I just had to tell you
this story and let you know how much I enjoy my very own Libby
Cameron original "impressionistic" painting. Love, John"

"Mary's Squirt" (Blue Diamond)for Mary Lovdahl

This oil painting was done after this horse retired due to a hip injury.
I chose one of the many lakes from the owner's farm, included geese to balance the composition,
and used a silver sky & lake reflection to blend Squirt with his surroundings.

"Sue Jensen's Chance"

This was a flattering pose for a big powerful horse. He always had the
best of care, so his legs were remarkably 'clean' for a horse of his age.
The halter was used to add emphasis to his big eye.

"Quake" Jill Butterfield's Welsh Pony

Doesn't he look like an equine Bridget Bardot! He was so attractive
I had a hard time choosing which photo to paint from!

"Georgia O'Keefe"Dutch Warmblood mare (by Art Deco)
painted in oil for Marsi Winter.

Georgia is a wonderful mare who is every bit
as nice and as elegant as her owner!
