CTP had completed the coding for one of its
mammoth projects Sharekhan. And
on 21st December,2001 a team from the Bangalore office was shunted out to Bombay, to work
at the client site. This gave me a chance to go sight seeing in and around Mumbai.
So here are the Mumbai darshan pictures.
The
Gateway of India, which welcomes a visitor from the seas to the city.
Some
of the members of the Sharekhan Team, during one of their enjoyment
sessions. From L to R:- Biju Mathew, Niranjan Murthy, Sachin P.K, Anand
Krishnan and Manindra Jha.
This
picture was taken during our trip to Matheran. Our Taxi van had a flat
tyre mid-way, and the driver is replacing it, while a not-so-pleased
Vinaya, and Shripad looks on
At the time of the Tyre replacement session, the driver also realised
that the spare tyre was flat too !!!!
After
reaching Matheran by taking the help of a truck driver, it was time for a snap
in front of the Matheran Railway Station.
My
friend Madhu and me at Fort Shanivar Vada, in Pune. The fort it seems was
built by the Peshwa dynasty.
There is also a light and sound show organised here, every evening.
Being
the military fanatic, I am, I could not resist taking a picture of the War
Cemetry in Pune.
The
Indian Navy band was organising band concerts during the International
Fleet Review.
Here we see the Navy Band under C.P.O Rao, playing some good hindi
songs at Jogger's Park, Bandra.
IAF
Helicoptors during a fly past at the International Fleet Review, 2001.
The
Bharat-Rakshak members at Mumbai had a get together. Present in the
photograph are the 3 administrators L.N Subramanian, Kapil Chandni, Sachin
P.K and other well wishers.
The
album on Mumbai would not be complete without the picture of the Local
Trains.
Here are M.Prakash and Biju, posing before a dheemi
(slow) Local, waiting at Churchgate Terminus.
