VDAT Event History

VDAT began as a small workshop in the year 1998. In 2005, it acquired the status of a Symposium.

Around 30 participants witnessed the 1st VDAT Workshops, held at Chennai on Jan 7, 1998.

2nd VDAT Workshops were held on August 6th and 7th, 1998; at the Habitat World, Lodi Road, New Delhi. They were witnessed by around 70 participants.

Encouraged by the success of the 1st and 2nd VDAT Workshop events, the 3rd VDAT Workshops were held in New Delhi on August 20 & 21, 1999. Around 120 participants attended the 3rd VDAT Workshops.

The 4^th VDAT Workshops were held at New Delhi during August 25 - 27, 2000. The1^st VLSI Education Day, was observed on August 25th. Around 150 participants attended the event.

The 5^th VDAT Workshops and 2^nd VLSI Education Day were held at Bangalore during August 16-18, 2001. The event was supported by around 200 people.

The 6^th VDAT Workshops and 3^rd VLSI Education Day, were held at Bangalore, during August 29-31, 2002. Around 320 people participated in the event.

	Around 300 participants attended the 7^th VDAT Workshops and the 4^th VLSI Education Day, held at Bangalore during August 28-30, 2003.

The 8^th VDAT Workshops and the 5^th VLSI Education Day held at the Infosys Leadership Institute, Infosys Technologies Limited, Mysore, India, during August 26, 27 & 28, 2004.

	Around 300 participants attended the 9^th VDAT Symposium and the 6^th VLSI Education Day, held at Bangalore during August 10-13, 2005 at the Wipro Learning Center. VDAT acquired the status of a Symposium from the year 2005.

The 10^th VDAT Symposium and 7^th VLSI Education Day, were held at International Centre, Dona Paula Goa, during August 9-12, 2006. Attended by around 220 participants. VSI Goa Chapter was inaugurated during the event.

	Around 250 participants attended the 11^th VDAT Symposium and the 8^th VLSI Education Day, held at Kolkata during August 8-11, 2007 at the Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Salt Lake, Kolkata.

The 12^th VDAT Symposium was held at Wipro Learning Center, Bangalore during July 23-26, 2008 and was attended by around 200 participants.

	Around 200 participants attended the 13^th VDAT Symposium held at Wipro Learning centre, Bangalore during July 8-10, 2009.

The 14^th VDAT Symposium was held at Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh Campus during July 7-9, 2010 and was attended by around 200 participants.
