                                     Building the temple

With no physical temple on Earth, the people who love The Eternal are faced with the task of building ourselves into Temples or receptacles of The Almightys love and spirit. Every person who attempts to build his or her own temple has the same set of blueprints.

The plans are the Scriptures; the teachings, events and stories provide the details on how to build a proper temple. Step by step, block by block, from the laying of the foundation, to the laying of the foundation stone, each piece fitting together perfectly with the end result being a beautiful and complete finished Temple.

Luke 14 partial
28For who of you, wishing to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? 29Otherwise, when he has laid the foundation, and is unable to finish it, all who see it begin to mock him, 30saying, This man began to build and was unable to finish.

Constructing our Temple takes time, patience, the proper building materials, and the proper tools. All of these are available to those that read the Scriptures, it may take time and effort to locate some of the parts and tools, but nothing is unatainable.

The Foundation

1Corinth 3 partial
you are the field of Elohim, the building of Elohim. 10According to the favour of Elohim which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But each one should look how he builds on it. 11For no one is able to lay any other foundation except that which is laid, which is Yah'shua Messiah (his teachings from the Torah and prophets).

This Scripture verse shows us that the teachings of Yahshua which amplify the Torah and prophets should be the foundation for our Temple. We all know that a strong foundation is neccesary for a building. If the foundation is not well made then our building will be subject to destruction.

Luke 6 partial
46But why do you call Me Master, Master, and do not do what I say? 47Everyone who is coming to Me, and is hearing My words and is doing them, I shall show you whom he is like: 48He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock. And when a flood came, the stream burst against that house, but was unable to shake it, for it was founded on the rock. 49But the one hearing and not doing, is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream burst, and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.

Here Yahshua himself affirms that the Torah and prophets are the proper foundation for our temple.

What did Yahshua teach during his time on Earth? He taught that we should love our Father above all things, and that we are to show our love for The Eternal by keeping his Commandments as they were intended to be kept. He taught that the laws which were given by Moshe to the people were being abused and made burdensome by the temple leaders of the time. He also taught that we should love all mankind as we love ourselves. Everything he taught was based on the scrolls of the Torah and the prophets.

Matthew 22 partial
34But the Pharisees, having heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, were gathered together, 35and one of them, one learned in the Torah, did question, trying Him, and saying, 36Teacher, which is the great command in the Torah? 37And Yah'shua said to him, You shall love Yah'weh your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your mind. 38This is the first and great command. 39And the second is like it, You shall love your neighbour as yourself. 40On these two commands hang all the Torah and the Prophets.

The basic teachings that Yahshua taught were from the Torah and prophets, they revolved around The Eternal Yahwehs love for us, and how we all should love Yahweh, and our fellow man. This is the foundation that we are to build on.

1 Timothy 6 partial
17Charge those who are rich in this present age not to be high-minded, nor to trust in the uncertainty of riches, but in the living Elohim, who gives us richly all for enjoyment, 18to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous, ready to share, 19storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, so that they lay hold on everlasting life. 20O Timothy! Watch over that which has been entrusted to you, turning aside from the profane and empty babblings and contradictions of the falsely called knowledge, 21which some, having professed it, have missed the goal concerning the belief. Favour be with you. Amaen.

If our foundation is weak then our Temple will be easy, or easier to destroy. Think of how many people have a weak foundation. All the people who profess that the Commandments of The Eternal were done away with by Jesus dying on the cross. Those who think that all they have to do is believe in Jesus and they are saved forever, no matter what wrongs they commit. And all those who have been drawn into the Mystery Babylon religion, and all of its false teachings. It also shows that those who rely on their own knowledge, instead of the spirit led truth, have their foundation on truly weak soil.

A strong foundation is built on loving-kindness. Love for The Eternal Creator Yahweh first and then love for our fellow man. Doing good and being generous with what we have help to firm up our foundation.

The cornerstone

The cornerstone is considered to be the strength of the building. It shows the reliablity of the building materials and alludes to the durabilty of the structure. A strong cornerstone is essential for a Temple of Yahweh.

Ephesians 2 partial
18Because through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. 19So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the set- apart ones and members of the household of Elohim, 20having been built upon the foundation of the emissaries and prophets, Yah'shua Messiah Himself being chief cornerstone, 21in whom all the building, being joined together, grows into a set-apart Dwelling Place in Yah'weh, 22in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of Elohim in the Spirit.

This Scripture shows us that our belief in Yahshua and his teachings, gives us a strong and solid base for our future building blocks. If our belief in Yahshua wavers we lose the strength of our cornerstone and our Temple will be made easier to come to ruin.

The Temple

The building construction materials of our Temple are extremely important, and the easiest to destroy. We must take care that we construct our temples of strong and or precious material. For the strength of our Temples are tested continuously by the adversary and his minions. Our Temple must be strong enough to stand the test when the proving fire washes over it.

1Corinth 3 partial
12And if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13each ones work shall be revealed, for the day shall show it up, because it is revealed by fire. And the fire shall prove the work of each one, what sort it is. 14If anyones work remains, which he has built on, he shall receive a reward. 15If anyones work is burned, he shall suffer loss, but he himself shall be saved, but so as through fire. 16Do you not know that you are a Dwelling Place of Elohim and that the Spirit of Elohim dwells in you? 17If anyone destroys the Dwelling Place of Elohim, Elohim shall destroy him. For the Dwelling Place of Elohim is set-apart, which you are.

We are forewarned that if our Temples are not constructed of solid materials, which are those thoughts, actions, and words, we perform and speak on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis, we shall not have a share, or as great a share in the reward which is awaiting those who do The Eternals will. Loving Him, and loving all man.

2 Timothy partial
15Do your utmost to present yourself approved to Elohim, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly handling the Word of Truth. 16But keep away from profane, empty babblings, for they go on to more wickedness, 17and their word shall eat its way like gangrene. Humenaios and Philetos are of this sort, 18who have missed the goal concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection has already taken place, and overthrow the belief of some. 19However, the solid foundation of Elohim stands firm, having this seal, Yah'weh knows those who are His, and, Let everyone who names the Name of Messiah turn away from unrighteousness. 20But in a large house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some unto value and some unto no value. 21If, then, anyone cleanses himself from these matters, he shall be a vessel unto value, having been set apart, of good use to the Master, having been prepared for every good work. 22And flee from the lusts of youth, but pursue righteousness, belief, love, peace with those calling on the Master out of a clean heart. 23But refuse foolish and stupid questions, knowing that they breed quarrels. 24And a servant of the Master should not quarrel but be gentle towards all, able to teach, patient when wronged, 25in meekness instructing those who are in opposition, lest somehow Elohim gives them repentance unto a thorough knowledge of the truth, 26and they come to their senses, out of the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his desire.

We should heed the warning of this Scripture and not follow after those who sow contention and provoke their fellow man to sin.

Ezekiel 13 partial
And the word of Yah'weh came to me, saying, 2Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Yisrael who prophesy, and say to those who prophesy out of their own heart, Hear the word of Yah'weh! 3Thus said the Master Yah'weh , Woe to the foolish prophets, who are following their own spirit, without having had a vision! 4O Yisrael, your prophets have been like foxes among ruins. 5You have not gone up into the breaches, nor do you build a wall for the house of Yisrael to stand in battle on the day of Yah'weh . 6Their visions are false and their divinations a lie, saying, Thus declares Yah'weh, when Yah'weh has not sent them, yet they expected the word to be confirmed! 7Have you not seen a false vision, and have you not spoken a divination of lies? You say, Yah'weh declares, when I have not spoken. 8Therefore thus said the Master , Because you have spoken falsehood and seen lies, therefore see, I am against you, declares the Master Yah'weh . 9My hand shall be against the prophets who see falsehood and who divine lies. They shall not be in the council of My people, nor be written in the record of the house of Yisrael, and they shall not enter into the land of Yisrael. And you shall know that I am the Master Yah'weh. 10Because, yea because they have led My people astray, saying, Peace! when there is no peace. And when one is building a wall, see, they are coating it with whitewash! 11Say to those who coat it with whitewash: it shall fall! There shall be flooding rain, and you, O great hailstones: fall! and a stormy wind breaks it down, 12and see, the wall shall fall! Shall you not be asked, Where is the coating with which you coated it? 13Therefore thus said the Master Yah'weh, I shall break down with a stormy wind in My wrath, and a flooding rain in My displeasure, and great hailstones in wrath, to consume. 14And I shall throw down the wall you have coated with whitewash, and bring it down to the ground, and its foundation shall be uncovered. And it shall fall, and you shall be consumed in the midst of it. And you shall know that I am Yah'weh. 15So I shall complete My wrath on the wall and on those coating it with whitewash, and say to you, The wall is no more, nor those whitewashing it

This is a lesson for all who twist and pervert the teachings of Yahweh. They cover up their cardboard temples with glittery and shiny paint, making others to follow their wicked ways of selfishness. Saying, follow me, do as I say, and believe in my interpretations. Exalting themselves above the written word of Scripture. Twisting the truth and turning it into self-glorification. Yahweh has pronounced that their end will be destruction.

In conclusion

We are the Temples of Yahweh. Every action, thought, and word strengthens or weakens our structure. It is our responsibilty to make sure that our Temple is worthy of the spirit and love which The Creator has endowed us with. We are the builders, we have the tools, and we have the blueprints. We have the ability to create the beautiful and awe inspiring Temple of the blueprints, solid and majestic, or we can deviate from the plans and build a structure according to our own desires. A structure built of hay, wood, or straw.

Our cornerstone should be based on Yahshua, if it is not then our building is seriously flawed and may not stand the test of fire.

Our foundation must be strong, and based upon the teacings of Yahshua. If we are not loving, kind, compassionate, and merciful then our foundation is weak.

Without a strong foundation of love we have nothing.

Can or will your Temple survive the test of fire? May it be so.
