The Many

Do you, or have you ever wondered why the teachings of the Scriptures are hidden from most people? Perhaps we can answer this by expanding on this parable of the great teacher Yahshua.

Luke 8 partial

4And when a large crowd had gathered, and those who were coming to Him from every city, He spoke by a parable: 5A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some indeed fell by the wayside. And it was trodden down, and the birds of the heaven devoured it. 6And other fell on rock, and when it grew up, it withered because it had no moisture. 7And other fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up with it and choked it. 8And other fell on the good soil, and grew up, and yielded a crop a hundred- fold.

Having said this He cried, He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
10And He said, To you it has been given to know the secrets of the reign of Elohim, but to the rest in parables, that Seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not understand.

11And this is the parable:

The seed is the word of Elohim.
12 And those by the wayside are the ones who hear, then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, lest having believed, they should be saved.

Who are these people? Look at the people around you. Do you think they have been called? Sure! many of them have, they have heard the message in their hearts and minds. They have received the call, and the adversary has snatched it away from them, hardening their hearts and turning them from the wonderful message. Did they have a choice, or are they unwilling victims? If we think of the adversarys tactics of deception and trickery we may be able to answer that.

If there is a god why would he allow people to suffer?
Science proves god doesnt exist.
etc.

Basically most who have heard the call and refuse to listen, base their belief in themselves, and the knowledge they possess, or they rely on the thoughts and beliefs of other people. They are led astray by the adversary as the first man and woman were.

13 And those on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy. And these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of trial fall away.

Do we know people who when faced with family disownment, ridicule, or persecution turn their hearts from The Almighty and return to the ignorance of the world?

14 And that which fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with worries, and riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to perfection .

How many people do you know that have heard the calling and yet focus their lives on the things of this world? Their interests being power, and status, spending ridiculous amounts of money on material possessions that gain them nothing. Certainly not happiness. Some raising themselves up with their knowledge, elevating themselves as teachers of truth, and losing track of their calling. Think about the materialistic people who concentrate on making money, fearful of losing their jobs, or not making enough money to keep up a cushy lifestyle.

Philippians 3 partial
18For many of whom I have often told you, and now say to you even weeping walk as enemies of the stake of Messiah. 19Their end is destruction, their mighty one is their stomach, and their esteem is in their shame they mind the earthly.

1 Timothy 6 partial
7For we brought naught into the world, and it is impossible to take any out. 8When we have food and covering, we shall be satisfied with these. 9But those wishing to be rich fall into trial and a snare, and into many foolish and injurious lusts which plunge men in ruin and destruction. 10For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some, by longing for it, have strayed from the belief, and pierced themselves through with many pains.

15 And that on the good soil are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, retain it, and bear fruit with endurance.

These set apart people are those who truly love The Eternal, and show their love by keeping all of his commands, and that walk in his way of love. These are the few chosen ones. Those who weather the trials of this life and hold fast to the truth, not being drawn away by fables or the other deceptions of the adversary. Those who walk in the way of truth and are an example to those around them. Those who profess their love for The Eternal to all men and are not ashamed to say, I love The Almighty Creator. Those who bear fruit by their loving character, and their proclaiming the good news of the soon coming Kingdom.

16 And no one having lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but he puts it on a lampstand, so that those coming in see the light. 17For whatever is hidden shall be revealed, and whatever is secret shall be known and come to light. 18Therefore take heed how you hear. For whoever possesses, to him more shall be given; and whoever does not possess, even what he thinks he possesses shall be taken from him.

We are admonished not to hide our love for The Almighty. But to show it in all its wonderful brilliance. If we hide it we have gained nothing for The Eternal. We have borne no fruit; we have shown that we care more of what our fellow man thinks, than what we should focus on which is our love for The Eternal YHWH and what He thinks. It is easy to get caught up in the cares of this world, so we should step back occasionally or daily to make sure we are living our lives in a way that is right from The Eternals perspective.

Who are the many?

Matthew 20:16
16Thus the last shall be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen .

This verse leads us to believe that this will be true of people in the past, and those of today.

Look around at the Christian organizations today. Most believe in a man god called jesus, a mighty one who has been created by the adversary and those who have been, and are greedy for power and glory. Twisting the truth of the teachings and the teacher Yahshua, and turning his message and his person, into a mockery. Teaching the doctrines of men, rather than the wonderful teachings of Yahshua.

Are these people called? If we think about this question would they fall into one of the categories that Yahshua layed out in his parable?

2 Peter 2 partial
9then knows how to rescue the reverent ones from trial and to keep the unrighteous unto the day of judgment, to be punished, 10and most of all those walking after the flesh in filthy lust and despising authority (the authority of YHWH) bold, headstrong, speaking evil of esteemed ones,

Let us pray that more people are shown the truth of The Almighty Yahweh and that many turn from the things of this world, shirking off the adversary and his filth. And that we provide a good example to those around us, and that we are as a light to those who drift aimlessly around us each day.

1 corinthians 2 partial

4And my word and my preaching were not with persuasive words of mans wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5in order that your belief should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of Elohim. 6Yet we speak wisdom among those who are perfect, and not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age that are being brought to naught. 7But we speak the wisdom of Elohim, which was hidden in a secret, and which Elohim ordained before the ages for our esteem,
