Dinosaurs

The quarry in the first image is part of an ancient lake roughly 50 million years old located in what is now Wyoming. The layers of sediment are peeled off with large spatulas to expose the outline of the skeletal remains of fossil fish and in some cases birds and other mammals. As for T-rex, only 12 partial fossilized skeletons have ever been found, though close relatives have now been discovered in South America and North Africa. As analysis techniques improve, including the DNA testing of hard remains, Jurassic Park becomes more and more a possibility.
