The totems of the west coast First Nations indians are colourful reminders of the history of this part of the world. Related carvings and prints are increasingly popular works of art, and souvenirs for visitors to the area. Sometimes an entire totem or group of totems makes for an interesting image. Often times, however, a section of a totem pole makes a more powerful picture.
