of their cover by walking of a dyke that was covered with netting. When the
ducks investigated, the dyke was closed. Since the Second World War, efforts
have been made to improve its breeding, and it has recently been introduced into
the United Kingdom.
Character and

The
Kooikerhondje is an intelligent, affectionate dog, which is lively but not
over-excitable. A good companion dog, it is a handy size for a household pet. It
needs plenty of exercise and daily brushing.
