Meditation is the ability to allow one to reach a relaxed state of mind. The ability of the subconscious to master the conscious.
What benefits does this offer? Meditating for 20 minutes equals four hours of "REM" sleep. Of course during the "REM" cycle
is when we experience our dreams, out of body's, visions, meeting your spirit guides, meeting gods/goddesses, meet spirits
in the afterlife, lucid dreaming or the ability to problem solve. Meditation also offers medical benefits such as, the reduction
of stress, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and anxiety.
Meditation will enhance or sharpen your perception of everything around you and allows you to stay in tune with your body.
So below, I have listed a few procedures which is used in my own practice. Please feel free to administer modifications for
your own practice.
1. Find a nice quiet area free from interruptions and noisy.
2. Select a candle(Black,White,Dark Purple,Light Blue)
3. Select Incense(Patchouli,China Rain,Sandalwood)
4. Meditation Spell
Guide me to my inner sanction,
free from chaos and negativity.
As I learn to rely on intuition,
and enhance all my abilities.
5. Find a relaxing area such as an overstuffed chair,or fluffy couch. Remain in a seated position with both feel flat on the
floor.
6. Light your candle as you chant the spell. Chant it (3) times.
7. Light your incense as you chant the spell, again chant (3) times.
8. Take 4 deep breaths through the nose filling the lungs. Then exhale slowly
through the mouth.
9. As you exhale, feel your body relaxing. Starting at your feet, your muscles
are relaxed when you feel a gentle warm sensation flowing upward through the
calf muscle of the leg. Allow this warm sensation to slowly envelope the rest of your body to feel totally relaxed.
10.Focus on the beating of your heart. If your heart seems to be beating to
fast, simply take a few deep breaths and exhale slowly. For me this seems
to slow my heart rate.
11.And finally, when you have reached this state, allow your mind to center it's
energy on your third eye, the area between the eyebrows. DO NOT STRUGGLE
with your thoughts, let them pass to the front of your mind, and watch
as they burst like bubbles. Now quiet your mind and allow it to remain
blank. Enjoy this period for 20 minutes. NO LONGER IN THE BEGINNING. You may
want to keep a clock handy, but before long the mind will automatically know.
12.Slowly bring your mind and body to a wakeful state. Allow your eyes to open
slowly to adjust to the lighting. Allow time to reaquaint yourself to the
world.
****NOTE****
Be sure to remove any articles of clothing, shoes or jewelry which may constict you during the meditation process. Your goal
is to remain comfortable. During the first attempts of meditation comfort is a must, but keep in mind if you choose the comfort
of your bed in a lying down position, instead of meditating you may find yourself in a restful sleep. So if at all possible,
remain in a sitting position with the one exception of a nice hot bath. In this position you will add essential oils or fragrance
oils such as, jasmine, rose, or white gardenia. You'll find it may be easier to relax as you listen to the beat of your heart
and feel the blood rushing through the veins.
