Glaucoma Symptoms

My fiancée gets severe eye pain and headache after coming out of the movie theatre.

What could it be?

Besides the noise and the violence in movies and your company, it could be Glaucoma!

What do you mean when you say field of vision decreases in glaucoma?

These depend on the type of glaucoma.

	Decrease in the field of vision.
	Dull colours. These are more difficult to be recognized by the individual, therefore remains 'dangerously silent' and undetected.
	Family history is common.

	Attacks of pain in the eye, redness, watering, halos, decrease vision.
	Attacks come on especially when coming from darkness into light, as when exiting from a movie theatre. There may be associated nausea and vomiting.

In late stages, there is severe decrease in field of vision, and blindness results.
