WHO - COBO HALL DETROIT (2CDS) 06/27/00 1999 - THE WHO CAME BACK IN 1999-2000 FOR A NEW TOUR. THIS TIME THE FOCUS WAS ON WHO'S NEXT, WHICH WAS ORIGINALLY CALLED LIFEHOUSE. TOWNSHEND RELEASED AN AMAZING BOX SET CALLED THE LIFEHOUSE CHRONICLES. THIS IS 1970 MATERIAL PREDICTING THE INTERNET AND MORE. YOU KNOW THE SONGS - BEHIND BLUE EYES, BABA O'RILEY ("TEENAGE WASTELAND"), WON'T GET FOOLED AGAIN. SEE THE PATTERN -- THEY RE-INVENTED TOMMY, QUADRAPHENIA AND FINALLY LIFEHOUSE, THE 3 TOWNSHEND BRAINCHILDREN. THIS TOUR IS AMAZING - BEST LIVE WHO SINCE THE 70'S. ITS THE 3 OF THEM + ZAK STARKEY (RINGO'S SON, WHO PLAYS LIKE MOON) AND RABBIT ON KEYBOARD. THE WHO HAS STILL GOT IT.

Who -  6/26/02  Entwhistle's last rehearsal with group

WHO - ETERNAL MODS TRACKS 1 - 5: CITY HALL, HULL, UK, SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 1970, TRACKS 6 - 20: THE HIPPODROME, BRISTOL, UK, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 4, 1969

WHO - GUTTER PUNKS AT A WAREHOUSE 11/29/71, NEW ORLEANS, WAREHOUSE. Recording: Sound-board  Comments: This was the first of 2 successive nights at "The Warehouse" and 5th show over-all of the 2nd leg of the 1971 U.S tour. PT refers to the venue as "...when we first toured the States, this is the kind of places we played in and uh, it's the first electric factory, Kinetic Circus type  pisshole we've played for a good  long time....don't be over-awed by my big boots or Roger's swinging microphone or his patched trousers, he's only an ordinary punk from the gutter".  Magic Bus fades in with RD's harmonica playing and fades
out early towards the end. Once again, very nice packaging from the folks at "Hiwatt". The cover is a laminate with a picture cardboard inner sleeve. The sound quality in my opinion is a bit "trebly" and dull sounding in the begining half of the disc but consists of a decent performance.
Baba O'Riley, Bargain,Behind Blue Eyes, Won't Get Fooled Again Baby Don't Do It(sic Baby Don't You Do It), Magic Bus, Overture, Amazing Journey, Sparks, Pinball Wizard, See Me, Feel Me, My Generation.

WHO - JOHN'S (ENTWHISTLE'S) BIRTHDAY PARTY (2CDS) Venue: Alameda County Stadium, Oakland, California, USA, Saturday, October 9, 1976 Recording: Audience Comments: This is a very good audience recording. The Grateful Dead opened the show for The Who on John Entwistle's 32nd birthday. This was the first of 2 shows in Oakland in celebration of Bill Graham's Day On The Green (Courtesy of The Who Concert File book). Disc 1  I Can't Explain, Substitute, My Wife, Baba O'Riley, Squeeze Box, Behind Blue Eyes, Dreaming From The Waist, Magic Bus  Disc 2  Amazing Journey, Sparks, Acid Queen, Fiddle About, Pinboll Wizard (sic Pinball Wizard), I'm Free, Tommy's Holiday Camp, We're Gonna Take It (sic We're Not Gonna Take It), See Me, Feel Me, Summertime Blues My Generation, Join Together, My Generation Blues, Won't Get Fooled Again.

WHO - LIFEHOUSE LIVE 04/26/71 YOUNG VIC LONDON (YOUNG VIC BLUES)COMMENTS: WOW! ! ! INCREDIBLE TO HEAR THE WHO PLAYING THIS AT THE TIME, STILL UNRELEASED MATERIAL INTENDED FOR THE LIFEHOUSE PROJECT IN FRONT OF A "TRIAL" AUDIENCE. WHO - OFF THE RECORD 1982

WHO - OUR DRUMMERS OUT COLD 11/20/73 Venue: The Cow Palace, San Francisco, California, USA, Recording: Audience: Comments: This is from the opening night of the 1973 Quadrophenia Tour of America where Keith Moon supposedly washed down an animal tranquilizer with some brandy and could not make it through the entire show. The band plays drum-less and then recruits Scott Halpin from the audience to sit in for a few songs! The sound quality of this recording is pretty rough, actually, this and the CD-R From Skating Rinks to Opera Houses must be the worst sounding Who bootlegs ever to hit the market. Some would still consider this a must. By-note: there is also a bootleg b&w video of a fair portion of this show, though of poor quality. (i dont have it!!) Disc one 1.  I Can't Explain   2. Summertime Blues  3.  My Generation  4.  I Am the Sea  5.  The Real Me  6.  The Punk Meets the Godfather   7.  I'm One  8.  Helpless Dancer  9.  5:15 10. Sea and Sand 11. Drowned 12. Bell Boy  13. Dr. Jimmy (listed as on disc 1 but is really 1st song on disc 2)    Disc two 1. Love Reign O'er Me  2. Won't Get Fooled Again (K.Moon passes out during song)  3. P.Townshend Tells Audience "Our Drummers out cold, You'll have to fucking wait"  4. Magic Bus (K.Moon passes out for final time)  5. See Me Feel Me (without Drummer) 6. P.Townshend Tells Audience "Can anybody play the drums? I mean somebody good!"  7. Smokestack Lightning/Spoonful (w/Scott Halpin-Drummer from Audience)  8. Naked Eye (w/Scott Halpin-Drummer from Audience)
