Click on these pictures and get a closer look at the team from Trinity Ev. Free.

Helimission shuttled the men into the Maniwo. The first look at our tribal location including the cleared area where we are building the airstrip. My brother in law, Scott Humphreys, the helicopter pilot's son Phillip Smith and I took a lot of the supplies up the coast and then inland by river to position it closer to our tribe for shuttles with the helicopter. Helimission met us at a sandbar and began to make the shuttles into the tribe.
The work team was treated to some of the best scenery in the world - if you like jungles. As the early morning fog rolls up out of the valley, we get out first look at the Crockett's house and the project before the work team. All the wood, milled from the jungle with a chainsaw, has to be planed with a small hand planner. Scott, as with everyone on the team, worked to save us over 600 hours of labor in the week and a half they were there. (Almost four months of work for one man!)
Steve Manning's (from Trinity Ev. Free) table saw was used non-stop. With the wood planed, we were able to begin working on project. Here Bob puts screens in the windows. Scott made our doors. Gordan Grout ran four systems of electric for us. (110 & 220 volt AC and 12 & 24 volt DC) Here he wires the solar panels John put together.
They never forgot there real reason for being there was to reach the Maniwo people for Christ. For that reason the tribal people will never forget them either. I don't think the team will forget the Maniwo people either. I know they pray for them on a daily basis. Indelible impressions! Here, Tokomaadi, the chief of the this valley shoots off water balloons. When the balloons ran out he started looking thoughtfully at Tim's chickens. As we met together for the last couple of times, the lumps began to grow in our throats. We miss each of the guys. We're so glad for churches like Trinity. We couldn't do this on our own!
