Vampire: The Dark Ages

he Dark Ages is sort of like The Masquerade, only the stories take place in the Middle Ages (Dark Ages). I'm the Storyteller for The Dark Ages in my little RPG coterie.
The Clans are basically the same as in The Masquerade, with the addition of Clans Lasombra and Tzimisce, who would later originate the Sabbat. The Camarilla had not yet been created and, thus, no importance was given to the Masquerade (in the present, vampires try to hide the fact of their existence from humans). It was the time of theocentrism (major threat for vampires!!!) and the Crusades. Since The Dark Ages is placed somewhere near the end of the 11th century, the Inquisition was not yet a major threat.
The content of the stories doesn't change much compared to The Masquerade. The major difference is the scenery (obviously) and the presence of powerful religion-related antagonists, such as the clergy and demons. It can also be an interesting experience to know what your favorite Clan was like back then...too bad I got disappointed. My favorite Dark Ages Clans are the Brujah (knights fighting for a fairer society) and the Tzimisce (cruel flesh-molding fiends).
