NANCY ANTHIS

"SOMETIMES"

PHARAOH songwriter/artist/friend Cowboy Bob Bernstein has done it again! Through Bernstein's keen sense of spotting terrific talent, Pharaoh Records has benefited once again......over the years with introductions from Bernstein to such terrific talents as Barbara Morrison, Shannon Mock, Donna Beckett, Jenny Richards, etc. And now, Bob presents to Pharaoh and the radio world the versatile talents of the lovely Miss NANCY ANTHIS. Nancy is now being showcased on our LIL THIS 'N THAT Pharaoh International Records compilation CD, with one of Bernstein's traditional tunes entitled, "SOMETIMES". So, if you're familiar already with Bernstein's superb songwriting gift and the talents of such gifted singers as Morrison, Mock, Richards, and Beckett....you already know ahead of time what to expect out of Anthis!!! NOTHING BUT THE BEST!

Nancy may be new to Pharaoh, but she is certainly no newcomer to the world of musical entertainment - go to the Mp3 web site, for instance, and check her out. Here you can sample her terrific vocals and purchase copies of her latest releases (and not only country, but the versatile Nancy Anthis does other styles equally well); so, if you've never checked out any of the mp3 files before, just go to http://www.mp3.com, type in Nancy Anthis in the search column for artists, and you're there for a fun visit of enjoyable listening and hopefully purchasing.

Nancy was raised in Ontario, Canada (but born in the United States in the state of Maryland) and lived in Alberta, Canada and British Columbia for awhile. A singer/songwriter who began performing in clubs in Western Canada during the eighties, she currently lives in Organge County, California where she presently performs at coffee houses while concentrating on her writing efforts.

While performing in Canada in the earlier years of her career, she was involved with both duo and trio acts - delightfully entertaining crowds from small lounges to the larger, more rowdy bar scene crowds - paying her dues like most artists along the way, honing her craft, and generally learning every step of the way during this four year background.

Nancy's pursuits eventually led her to make a move to the sunny entertainment capital of the world, CALIFORNIA, where she decided to take time out and finish her college education - graduating from the University of California, Irvine...and MAGNA CUM LAUD at that (in Social Ecology). Needless to say, when Nancy does something, she does it with perfection! And her music and performances are no deviations from that unwritten perfectionist rule.

As a songwriter, Nancy has been composing country, folk, and folk/rock/pop for a good number of years, is a member of the Nashville Songwriter's Association International, and has won numerous prizes for her creative talents; i.e. 1st place in a songwriting contest in Costa Mesa (local yearly contest) at Bilbo Baggins; successfully competed in the Marlboro County Music contest, and won 2nd place at the Crazy Horse Saloon in Santa Ana at their talent contest finals.

While gigging coffee-houses in her area and performing at the Crazy Horse Saloon on open mic nights, Nancy focuses mentally and physically on her recording interests. She has one self-released CD and is currently working on her second album, which will concentrate in the area of more traditional style of country and is being planned with Nashville final production in mind.
