29th Field Artillery
John C. Ausland was a former officer in the 29th Field Artillery during World War II.
Over the years he wrote a series of articles about the war, and ultimately writing a book
entitled "Letters Home: A War Memoir". These encompass his experiences, feelings, and opinions.
These articles are transcribed on this web site, for you to read. They are compelling, and clarify
moments in our history which will soon be lost in time. We all grow old, our memories dim with
age, and this becomes our legacy!
