LOOKING FOR THE OTHER HALF

LOOKING FOR THE OTHER HALF

I've been looking for my other half

But never got to find her out

O my other half, where are you

That made me call your name all the time like that ?

The night is coming, the city is getting dark

On the grass, under the trees, couples are chattering happily

Are they luckier than me, or don't they really care

If the other is their other half ?

I keep on looking like that

For someone I might never come across in my life

If that's so, I'll just carry on in my bachelorhood

But won't take someone else's half and call her mine.

What looks like love is so common place

But true love can never be more than one

There were times you thought youd found it

Only to realize later it wasn't it at all.

If we were truly made for each other

Then dear Lord, don't let me get the wrong idea

Whether it be pain or pleasure

Please make sure she's really my other half.

I've really been searching for you, sweetheart

And maybe the same goes for you

You've also been looking for me all over town

The trouble is, somehow we never recognized each other in the process.

IF I CAN STOP ONE HEART FROM BREAKING

If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain,

If I can ease one life the aching
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto its nest again
I shall not live in vain .

THE TIME IS NOW

If you are ever going to love me,
 Love me now,
while I can know
                The sweet and tender feelings
         Which from true affection flow.

 Love me now,
 While I am living
Do not wait until I'm gone
And then have it chiseled in marble,
 Sweet words on ice-cold stone.

If you have tender thoughts of me,
 Please tell me now,
If you wait until I am sleeping,
 Never to awaken,
There will be death between us,
And I won't hear you then,
So, If you love me, even a little bit
Let me know it while I am living
 So I can treasure it.
