Dear John Potter,
The USPS, D. Terrano letter dated 28 August, response your office gave me is not acceptable. It is typical as I had stated in my previous letter that your supervisors vaunts among themselves how easy it was to dupe higher up with false reporting. But to also include my State Senator in your deceptive practices is not acceptable by me or any decent American.
Had an independent party investigate my allegation you would find out the truth that bigotry is rampant within the USPS. Instead of paper washing my problems and pretending to empathize and then turn around and call me a liar by stating my allegations about the dog bite are not consistent.
I have been informed by one of the clerks in Silverado Station that my termination was to cover up not reporting the dog bite that I suffered. The response in USPS, D. Terrano letter, dated August 28, which one supervisor stated they noticed a superficial wound when I started working there but did not want medical treatment is a lie and should arouse suspicion to responsible individuals reading this letter and/or having any direct concern or empathy for a human being. In itself it indicates the none concern for a temporary casual worker or just another bigot's response to a injured minority as myself, considering us not their equal. To them it is okay for us kind to bleed to death. How else would you notice a bandaged superficial wound unless you saw it still bleeding.
I retired 21 years from the US Army. And as an Air Traffic Controller, among my many accomplishment, I also received, The Humanitarian Service Medal from President Ronald Reagan for working at St Louis International Airport with the FAA during the PATCO air traffic controller strike. I have an Associate Degree in Computer Technology. And prior to joining the Post Office I graduated an Associate degree Major in Information Technology/Multi Media. So for one of your supervisors to evaluate me on my exit evaluation that I could not follow simple instruction taking into consideration that my attitude in their report was satisfactory can only come from someone that considers us minorities as dumb or stupid. The short time I worked there at Silverado Station I worked six days a week with only Sundays off. After the dog bite I was burning with fever, but continued to work the best of my ability but your supervisors only response was that casual worker are not allowed to get sick. Suffering, I still maintained a positive attitude trying to please my supervisors and continued delivering the mail.
The other employees there were shock upon hearing of my termination which prompted them to provide me with your address and encouraged me to correspond with you and even told me to include morale problems within this station. These are the Good people in USPS that still believe in the system. However, my first letter was just to try and keep my job with USPS because hard times are here and my family and a job any job is top priority. To the point I sacrifice my health and swallowed my pride just to please ungrateful slave masters within the United States Postal Service. As I also stated in my first letter Supervisors in Silverado Station should be retrained or replaced. And as one great US Army General said, and I quote, show me a leader that does not have a racial problem and Ill show you one dumb son of a bitch; end of quote. The problem starts from the top.
I have written to you numerous times with certified, restricted return receipt, that indicates to me that you are aware of my problem but you condone inappropriate behavior within your organization. I have worked within the system all my life and my faith in Jesus I know someone will hear my entreaty and justice will prevail with or without your help, preferably with your help.
Sincerely,
Richard Dizon
