Re: USPS Letter D. Terrano, dated 14 Oct, 2003
Dear John Potter,
This is in response to Dee Dee Terrano, Nevada-Sierra District, letter to me which she wrote on your behalf.
I dont know why USPS is not willing to admit to the dog bite I received while delivering mail. Its obvious that nobody really cares or does not read or understand the correspondence I have been sending. Its like talking to a wall. So I created a website for all to read. http://USPS_RDIZON.tripod.com some of correspondence are attached.. Because it is the supervisors not reporting the dog bite was the reason for my termination and not my driving. The driving I did was the same as everybody in USPS to include the supervisors. All you have to do is observe your mail carrier to your house and youll see what I mean. Maybe I should include a home video on my website to show you.
It is a shame I had to file an EEO complaint before anybody noticed the unfair treatment I have been receiving. Thanks mostly to the advise of ACLU director and the diligent and untiring dedication to duty of an EEO representative and a very good mediator. With no help from any higher stratum within the USPS Las Vegas district. And to emphasize in this respond letter that this is temporary employment, another intimidation tactic for when they terminate me again for no apparent reason. And for the manager to say out loud to the management official after the redress hearing not to assist me in the dog bite incident, for fear of self incrimination should I file a lawsuit against USPS is definitely not a sign of compassion but a lack of concern on the management side.
As for not providing an address of the dog bite incident. As I stated time and again, I just need to go in the carrier route cubicle to pinpoint the exact address, which is hard to do since I am forbidden from setting foot in Silverado Station. My biggest mistake was trusting a USPS supervisor with all the details and him telling the other supervisors he would take care of it, then turned around and fired me. I wish you were there during the redress hearing. So you would learn how the USPS system is costing the taxpayers unnecessary expenses due to the lack of concern of those that could make a difference. The biggest waste is the paradigm paralysis of paying overtime which could be avoided with a well organized and concerned supervisors and managers. People are working hard but not smart. Complaints of outdated maps that I myself volunteered to make with my own software and programs I created were ignored. This would save the tax payers tons of money because it would cut down on overtime. In comparison to the Postal academy teaching us to collect pennies on insufficient stamps and showing us the ramification of it nationwide. Can you imagine USPS employees collecting sometimes double overtime unnecessarily. And to be told by the supervisor get with the program this is how we make money is nothing short of deceiving and stealing from the public.
Sincerely,
Richard Dizon
