SSG Errol J. Reddick was born on Saturday, January 23, 1943, and passed away on September 12, 1990
in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was a Vietnam Veteran.
He was a former member of Service Battery, 6th Battalion, 29 Field Artillery,
from 1984 to 1987. His Primary MOS was 63D30, Track Vehicle Repairman. During
his assignment, he worked in the Battalion Maintenance Section, primarily
dealing with Readiness Reporting, and other administrative duties. He handled
all of the computer requirements, at a time when very few soldiers were computer literate.
He retired from Active Duty in 1987, returning to Lake Charles. The 6-29 FA was his
last active duty assignment, and he only enjoyed 2 years of his retirement. He never married.
His mother, now 80 years young, misses him dearly, and thinks of her son constantly.
She still lives in Lake Charles, and provided us with this photograph!
