NOTES: Shini is the 3rd child (qualifier) and pilots unit-01. He is in the 8th grade and attends middle school. Shinji has trouble making friends, he is often distressed, and has low self esteem. He wears his walkman a lot so that way he can block out the outside world, that way he can't be hurt by anyone. Misato also helps Shinji overcome many of these problems. Shinji is friends with Rei and Asuka, and also with fellow classmates Touji and Kensuke but his best friend was Nagisa. Touji hated Shinji when he first meet him because his sister was hurt last time Shinji piloted the Eva, but when he and Kensuke saw how Shinji suffered in the Eva, they became friends with him afterwards. Asuka calls Shinji, Touji, and Kensuke the three Baka ( some what like the three stooges to us). Shinji has a bad relationship with his father Gendo, because he can't forgive his father for leaving him on his uncle's doorstep when he was little. He only pilots the eva because he wants to hear words of encouragement from his father. Shinji loves both Asuka and Rei, but Asuka is his soul mate.

FIRST APPEARANCE: Episode 1
NOTES: Rei is the the 1st child (qualifier) and pilot of Unit-00. She is in 8th grade and attends middle school. Rei has no friends except for the eva pilots and Gendo, she shows no emotion except when she is around Gendo, and she doesn't talk except when it is necessary. She has a relationship with Gendo (like a father daughter relationship) making her closer to Gendo than Shinji has with him. Gendo is the only person to see her smile and Shinji also gets to see Rei Smile. She treasures a broken pair of Gendo's glasses because he rescued Rei after her Eva went berserk during a synchronization test. As Gendo was rescuing Rei he broke the glasses and burned his hands in the process, Shinji also rescues Rei, but is not hurt. All of her genetic records have been erased and her parents are unknown because she is a clone of Ikari Yui, but she also has angel DNA in her. There have been 3 Rei clones (the rest were killed by Ritisuko, Rei 1 was killed by Nakao, Rei2 sacrificed herself to save Shinji,and Rei3 combined with lillith to cause the 3rd impact loves Shinji because we heard her say that she wants to unite with him, meaning she wants to marry him or have Sex with him (which one I don't know). Rei only pilots Eva because it is her bond to the people. We also know that she doesn't eat meat, hates the color red, and only wears white underwear.

NOTES: Asuka is the the 2nd child (qualifier) and pilot of Unit-02. She is 1/4 Japanese and 3/4 German. She is in 8th grade and attends middle school at. She is out going and she makes friends easily. She is friends with all of the eva pilots (except Rei) and her best friend is Hikari. Asuka really dislikes Rei because of Rei's Personality (no emotion). She likes Shinji (but won't admit it), and has a crush on Kaji. Shinji is her soul mate. After Asuka's mother died she couldn't accept her father and step-mother, and developed a different personality the one we know now. Asuka is a child prodigy and graduated college at 14 in Germany, she can speak English, German, and JAPANESE but she has trouble reading it. She plays the Violin and likes to swim. She lives with Shini, Misato, and Pen Pen. She also believes that she is the best, her eva is the best, that women are superior to men, and she doesn't need any one.
TOUJI SUZUHARA

NOTES: Touji is the 4th child (qualifier) and pilot of Unit-03. He is in 8th grade and goes to middle school. He is a tough and speak with a pronounced accent. His little sister was injured the first time Shinji piloted the Eva so when he head that Shinij was the eva pilot he hit him twice. When he and Kensuke were in Unit-01's entry plug they was how Shini suffered and they became friends. Touji agreed to be an Eva pilot so that his sister could get better medical treatment. While in Unit-03 the 13 Angel invaded the Eva and took control of it. Shinji was sent to intercept the Angelic Eva and destroy it. Shinji refused to attack the Eva because he knew a child his age was piloting it but Shinji didn't know touji was inside. After Shinji refuses Gendo ordered the Dummy plug to take over, when the Dummy plug took affect it destroyed the Eva and Touji was severely injured. Asuka calls Touji, Shinji, and Kensuke the three Baka. Touji and Asuka hate each other an fight a lot

NOTES: Nagisa is the 5th child (qualifier)adn sent as an replacement pilot for Unit-02 by STEEL. He is a dperson that freely expresses his feelings. He meet Shinji and they became best friends, he even told Shinji that he loved him. He was attacted to Shinji because of his weakness. His orgins are simular to Rei's. He had the best syntization rate of any pilot due to the fact that he was calsified as the 17th Angel. He has the abality to produce an AT Field like any Angel and he can any Eva without being inside of it, like he did with unit-02 He took Unit-02 ( he was floating along side of it) to the Central Dogmia where he hoped to find ADAM, but he found Lillith instead. Instead of joining with her, he allowed Shinji to kill him.
MISATOKATSURAGI

NOTES: Misato is the a captain of NERV Military Operations. She a talkative person, outgoing, loves to drink beer, she is extremely messy, and she can't cook if her life depended on it. She attended College with Ritisuke and Kaji, and as a result they are friends. Misato and Kaji were lovers in College, and when he comes back she confesses her feelings for him. Miasto is the only survivor of the Katsurgi Expedition that went to the arctic during the 2nd Impact. She only survived because her father put her in a escape pod while he stayed behind and scarified himself to save her. She hated her father because he neglected her and her mother.
RITISUKO AKAGI

NOTES: Ritisuko is the Head Technician of NERV in charge of Project E. She is a person that is cool under most circumstances, she hates her mother, she dies her hair to prove how different she is from her. She cares about the pilots but she usually puts the Evas first. Ritisuko went to college with Kaji and Misato. She seems to like Kaji and he took advantage of this to get a lot of secrets from her. Ritisuko took the place of her mother after she killed her self and she also took the place of Gendo's lover as well. Gendo killed her after she killed the Rei clones.
KAJI RYOUJI

FIRST APPEARANCE: Episode 8
NOTES: Kaji is a special inspector of NERV but he is also a spy for the Japanese Government. He is friends with Misato and Ritisuko and went to college with them, he and Misato were lovers in College. When he comes back Misato confesses her feelings about him. Ritisuko also like him as well and he uses this to get many of NERV's secrets. Kaji is killed presumably by Misato after he tells her about him being a spy.
GENDO IKARI

NOTES: Gendo is the Commander of NERV. He is a cold person who doe not show any emotion and he is Shinji's father. He has a close relationship with Rei which is like a father daughter kind of thing. He has a terrible relationship with Shinji and uses him as a tool rather than a son. Gendo meet and fell in love with Yui while in college. After he married Yui he changed his last to Ikari. After Yui died inside of Unit-01 he changed and became the stone cold person he is today. While in NERV he and Naoko became lovers but he was only using her so that she could complete the Magi Computer System. Gendo also became Ritisuko's lover but shoot her after she killed all of the other Rei clones.
KOZO FUYUTSUKI

NOTES: He is the Vice-commander of NERV and Gendo's friend and right hand man. He seems to be cool under most circumstances. Yui was a student of his while he was a professor. When he meet Gendo he didn't like him and he was against his marriage to Yui. Ventrally he came to like Gendo and Gendo invited him to come work for him at NERV. Gendo is his only friend at NERV.
MAYA IBUKI

NOTES: She is a 2nd Lieutenant at NERV. She works under Misato but is a special protege of Ritsuko. She looks up to Ritisuko a lot and respects.

NOTES: Makoto is a lieutenant at NERV and he often is the transport pilot for the Evas and other offical business. He has a crush on Misato and will do anything for her. He gets information for Misato (basically he is a spy for her), he runs errands, and even does her laundry. Once he discovers that Misato feelings for Kaji he steps aside being the gentleman that he is. Misato later gives him Pen Pen for safe keeping.

NOTES: Kensuke is in 8th grade and attends middle school. He is a fan of anything that has to do with the military, especially the Evas so he is always carrying a Cam Recorder to record sight of Military affairs. His best friend is Touji, but he is also good friends with Shinji. He and Touji became friends with Shinji after he and Touji got into Unit-01 entry plug and saw how Shinij suffered. His father works for NERV and when he heard that a new Eva was coming to Japan he asked for a chance to pilot it but he was told that someone else was already been choose Asuka calls Kensuke, Touji and Shinji the three Baka.
HIKARI HORAKI

NOTES: Hikari is a young girl who is very independent. Ever since her mother died she has become an motherly figure in her house hold and she even bring a lunch for Touji at school. Her best friend is Asuka and when she visits her at Misato's Apartment she likes to play with Pen Pen. She has a crush on Touji which would explain why she brings a lunch for him.

He is a new breed of warm springs penguin and a pet of Misato's and lives in a large refrigerator between Asuka and Shinji's room. He hates Misato's cooking and learned to drink beer and eat TV dinners. He was given to Makoto for safe keeping.

NOTES: Yui is Shinji's mother and married to Gendo and Project E Developer. She meet Gendo while she was a student of Kozo's. She was a brilliant scientist and became involved with Project E. She died during during a failed synchronization test with Unit-01, her synthesization rate hit 400% and her material body evaporated. Her soul is still inside of Unit-01, and it is believed that she is the cause for unit-01's berseker modes. Her death was presumed an accident but Naoko may have had something to do with her death because she wanted Gendo to herself. Her DNA was crossed with an Angel's DNA to make the Rei clones.

She killed the 1st Rei when she called her an old Hag ( Rei was repeating Gendo's words) and after she realized what she did she killed herself in front of her Magi Computer. A clone of her brain was used for the central processor of the Magi and her personality makes up the three part of the Magi-CASPER, _____, _____.
