SABINA WAS ADOPTED MAY 12, 2001!
Sabina was pregnant when she was turned into the shelter by someone who was probably a collector or hoarder. (This is an illness where people collect pets, do not have them altered, and suddenly find themselves with an overwhelming number animals in their homes.) Sabina gave birth to 4 kittens at the shelter. Probably because of the stress of shelter life, 3 kittens did not survive. The remaining kitten, Sophie, is 6 weeks old. Sophie and Sabina will need to stay together for a couple more weeks so Sabina can finish teaching her daughter the finer points of kitty etiquette. But we will certainly accept applications in the meantime and hopefully both will have homes when they are ready to be separated. Sabina is about 1 - 1/2 years old.
