CARMEN WAS ADOPTED AUGUST 19, 2001!

You will notice that both Carmen and Whitney have the same beginnings in their bios. That is because these homeless girls were cage mates at the shelter. Actually, they have much more in common than that. They were both marked to be euthanized the day we went to the shelter looking for a dog to take the place of one that had just been adopted from one of our foster homes. Note, we said looking for ONE dog. Obivously, we left with both. How can you choose one when one is as sweet as the other?

Carmen is about 8-10 months old and weighs 36 pounds. She is underweight and we will work on putting weight on her. She should reach around 50 pounds fully grown. Carmen is tall and has long legs and a very long and thin body. She is a little on the shy side and was shaking and very, very frightened the day she was saved from death row. But she warmed up quickly and trusted us to take care of her. She was excellent at the vet's office, stood perfectly still and did not even have to be held when she got her shots and had blood drawn. Carmen is very sweet and playful. She gets along well with other dogs and seems to be fine with cats.
