TAMMY WAS ADOPTED NOVEMBER 23, 2001!
Update:
Thanks again for your time and efforts for Tammy in placing her with our family!!! We are already in love with her. I am slowly exposing Tammy to playtime with the children. At times, she thinks Jessica is another puppy, and playfully tries to grab at her hair. My 2 yr old quickly puts her in
her place :). I like to leave her out of the cage. She is like my shadow, and follows me everywhere. I only have to crate her when my children totally overwhelm her. But, I am sure that she will get used to them in no time. I am taking it in baby steps, limiting her exposure to them a half
hour period at a time. We loved our evening walk!! You did a WONDERFUL JOB with Tammy!!! I was showing my husband your list of adopted animals, and explaining how wonderful and selfless you are in helping these misfortunate animals.

TAMMY'S STORY:

Tammy is 6 months old and weighs 40 pounds.  She is a very sweet and playful girl.  Her docked tail wiggles whenever anyone pays attention to her.  She loves to lay her head in your lap and get her ears scratched.  Tammy has done fine with children she has interacted with. Tammy learns quickly and within the first two days of being in her foster home she quickly grasped that sitting gets her attention, not jumping up on people.  She no longer jumps for attention.  She also crate trained easily and seems to be well on her way to being housebroken.  With the use of crating and being on a regular schedule, she has had no accidents in her foster home.  She transformed from pulling and running around in circles on a leash to beautiful loose leash walking within minutes of being shown what was expected of her.  She sits without command for a treat and for having her leash put on and taken off.  This dog is very intelligent and highly trainable.  She has already learned so much in foster care and whatever her new family wants to teach her to do, she is eager and willing to learn.
