"Our mother, Jestina, was a loving, kind-hearted individual who would giver her last if a situation demanded it.  Mammie's caring instinct and hard work made her very involved in our lives.  She gave us sound, solid advice in a few words; and to this day, we still abide by her words of wisdom.  Mammie could tell some very good jokes which made us laugh our hearts out.  She did not ask for much, and appreciated anything that we gave to her.  Mammie was, and still is, an integral part of our lives."
